POOR customer service

I called the store to make a sunless tan appointment about 3 weeks - a month ago. The girl on the phone told me the new store manager was out of town and she was unsure about the Labor Day/weekend hours. I explained to her that this was 21st birthday so it was very important for them to let me know if they would be closed so I could make other arrangements. She promised they would call if the appointment made would not work out.

Fast forward to today, the DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, and I havent heard anything regarding the cancelling of the appointment or the closing of the store. I decide to call just to make sure and that is when I heard the recording that they are closed. THANKFULLY, I didnt drive all the way out there to find this out.

Very unprofessional in my opinion. Dont tell me you are going to do something and then not.

This is the place to get a tan!

I just had my first ever spray tan done at Exotic Tan today and just had to post what a wonderful experience I had! I have to say, I was very nervous and a bit self-conscious about doing this, but after reading the other rave reviews on here, I decided to give it a try. Christina took lots of time with me and explained everything about the process and answered all of my questions. She was super friendly and welcoming, and above all, she made me feel totally comfortable and at ease, which is really something when you consider I was in my birthday suit in front of a stranger! On top of it all, my tan looks FABULOUS! Very even and natural looking - I am thrilled with the results! From the first time I called to make the appointment to the time I walked out the door, I experienced nothing less than excellent customer service - you can tell that Christina really cares and wants her customers to be 100% satisfied. I will be going here to tan from now on and highly recommend that you do the same!

I can't believe it!!!!

This salon has it all. A friendly staff, great customer service, unbelievable results, and the spray tans their are to die for. I went there to sign up for the $26 a month thing and I they gave me half off on my first spray. I could not believe the color I got. Shannon was the one who sprayed me and she was so great. I have to say that I was a little nervouse standing in front of a real person with my birthday suit on but Shannon made me feel so confortable. She was so nice and funny that I almost forgot I was standing there with no clothes on. She put me in the little spaceship looking tanning bed when my spray was finished and let me just tell you that I had no blotchy spots, my feet and hands look normal, I didn't breakout with a bunch of zits all over my face, and the tan that I got was so natual. I looked like I had just walked in from some exotic island. This salon offers a garentee with all of there spray tans so if I wanted it darker I could call her back and she would have fit me in the next day to ensure my happiness with this service. Needless to say the spray was perfect and I didn't need to go back for any touchups but I am now an life long client with exotic tan. I have been telling every person I know where to go and get their spray tans and this salon has never let me down. People from work think I am the best person in the world because I found exotic tan online. If you have never done a spray before check them out and tell them Sara sent you. They know who I am!

Best Tanning Salon in the Triangle

Almost 2 years ago I searched the triangle high and low to find a tanning bed worth my money. Most of the tanning salons I came across were way over priced, and had young ditsy girls working in them. I've paid $60 a month for unknowledgeable service, not that great of color, and not to mention when my time was up in the tanning bed and I was getting dressed, the employees would come around and knock on the door telling you to hurry up.

Never have I experience this at Exotic Tan in Raleigh. The staff is VERY friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help. they have enough beds to where you never have to wait, and comparatively they are priced very low for what they offer. I have been a member for almost 2 years, and for 27 bucks a month unlimited, you can bet I will stay a member! Thanks Exotic Tan!

• Pros: Owner is there almost every day, 17 low beds, 2 medium, 2 high, and a stand up
• Cons: nothing, this place is wonderful

Very Friendly, Great Service

The service at Exotic Tan was great! I got the spray tan to eliminate my tan lines. I was in a wedding and had to wear a strapless dress. The spray tan did a great job to dimish my tan lines. The pictures from the wedding turned out great and you can't even tell I had lines! Thanks!!

New to Spray Tans

I have a very light skin tone, almost pasty white, and I burn very easy in the sun. A friend of mine suggested I try a spray tan at Exotic Tan. She told me a certified technician does the sprays and it looks really natural. I stopped by after Christmas and talked to the owner, Christina. She explained how they have several spray solutions and she suggested we start with the lightest solution since I am so fair. She also suggested I try 5 minutes in the standup booth after the spray which is a medium pressure. She explained that it would help dry the spray sooner and it would start giving me some protection from the UV rays. I have to tell you, it looks great! I was so afraid it would turn out orange but it looks so natural my friends wanted to know where I went over the holidays to get such a great tan. They had no idea it was a spray tan. Christina was great and very knowledgeable. She really made me feel comfortable and special. If you have problem tanning like I do, stop by Exotic Tan and talk to Christina. Spray tan may work for you also. I highly recommend the spray tan and standup booth combo.

Best tan ever

I was a member at another local salon for the past 5 years and it seamed like I wasn't getting as dark as I should. So I went over to exotic to try it out just for a couple of sessions to see if there was a differance. Well I am now there client for life. I got the tan I wanted in just a couple of visits. And when I was greated by the owner on my first visit it made me feal important even though she is there most of the time. I love that I don't feel pressured, which makes for a relaxing session.

Accommodates larger clients

I am a bigger man and this is the first tanning facility which I have found that I felt comfortable. I had no problem using the high pressure booths and got a great tan. Another nice thing about Exotic Tan is that I was not made to feel unwanted because of my size. The staff was very helpful especially explaining the different types of tanning lotions. I signed up for the Premier Club membership after the staff explain how I can get the high pressures, medium pressures and standup for half price as a member.
