Delicious!
by carlson1966 at Citysearch
This place is always crowded for lunch- parking can be difficult, but you'll see why. Everything on the menu is great and fresh, Restaurant atmosphere is very clean and classy. You might be surrounded by a bunch of rich older folks, but they got the right idea. This is a unique restaurant with delicious food worth the higher price. Would be perfect for parties, special occasions too.
Nothing to write home about

I read all the reviews, so I thought it was going to be exceptional. Or at the very least, really good. It was suburban fare that tries too hard to be creative than just really good. Penne with chicken, not as good as Bertolli in a bag. Sorry, boring. Not worth $14. My daughter's fries were good. Our salad was meek, a cup of lettuce, some carrots and croutons and 3 slices of onion and 3 wedges of tomatoes. That's a $1.95 salad, not $3.95. I'd expect a decent side salad for that. Not to mention the waiter taking my daughter's salad plate while she was still chewing. Rude! Or not offering us bread & butter, which other tables got. He forgot. He forgot the table next to us all well. Forgot to mention the soups, too. It was a really mediocre experience and meal. My husband cooks better, so unless we go back and try something actually delicious, why bother?
Excellent Food - Best in North Raleigh
by Kevin Coats at Citysearch
Come experience what the North Ridge Country Club crowd already knows: Winston's Grille is the best food in North Raleigh! The mahogany wood and soft booth seating create a refined luxurious atmosphere! The large open kitchen allows diners to have a look at what's happening with their orders! The menu changes seasonally, so there's always something new to come back and try! Lunch and dinner are served and be sure you save room for dessert! Published by Kevin Coats Raleigh NC

I have been to Winstons tons of time and unlike any restaurant I have every been to, every time at Winstons is amazing. The best service, the best food, and such beautiful lighting/ artwork. Anyone and everyone should give Winstons a try!
- Pros: Food/ Service/ Ambiance
- Cons: What are the drawbacks?
Great Service and Food
by Parrothead at Citysearch
We recently took some out of town relatives to Winston's for dinner since we needed a private room so that all could participate in the conversation. Everyone loved Winston's! Our meals arrived very quickly and the service was outstanding. The food was also delicious. You should definitely try this place!
- Pros: Excellent service, private room
- Cons: none
It's pricey, but yummy!

Be prepared....this place is relatively expensive....but don't let that scare you away. They have the best tuna steak and tuna steak salad around! The calamari was excellent. Their steaks are juicy and prepared perfectly! The garlic mashed potatoes...exquisite! You are better off making reservations just in case. It gets very crowded. I've had top quality food every time I've gone. Service is off and on depending on how busy it is, but the food is great!
- Pros: Tuna Steaks, food in general, great food!
- Cons: Pricey
You have to try this wine!!
by sarahjo2 at Citysearch
My husband and I love Winstons because of its casual atmosphere and great service. We love to try new wines and they have a new Chilean wine called COLORES DEL SOL. I got the Chardonnay and my husband got the Merlot. They were both FANTASTIC! Not your typical Chardonnay or Merlot which is what we liked, a great price and very easy to drink, what more could you ask for!
- Pros: Great wines!
Worst service and management
by volfert at Citysearch
Don't bother with this place. We went there on Valentine's Day and were very disappionted. Bad service and overpriced/mediocre food. It took 25 minutes before anyone took our order and that's after I had to flag a busboy down to get our waiter/waitress. If the waiter/waitresses weren't too busy BSing with each other, there wouldn't be us unhappy customers. Another customer left yelling how bad the service and food was as well. We wanted to complain about the service, but the manager, I think his name is Adam, just quickly apologized but didn't do anything. I will never be back.
- Cons: Slow waiter
One of my favorite restaurants!!
by brookh13 at Citysearch
I do not have one negative thing to say about Winston's. The food is always great, the service is great and it's always a pleasurable experience. I try to hang out here once or twice a month at the least. We almost always sit in the bar area or at the bar and two of my favorite bartenders are always on point. :) Winston's has what I can best describe as a casual elegance. I feel comfortable dining here in jeans, work clothes, or even dressed up for a night out. I have yet to find a better crab dip anywhere (and I try crab dip at any restaurant that has it, no matter what). The Black & Bleu salad is my favorite salad on the planet and the b/f is obsessed with the French Dip. All desserts and ice cream is homemade and fabulous! If you have no food in the fridge or you're looking for a new restaurant to try or if you just want some good food and drinks - Winston's is where you should go for sure. Oh....and reasonably priced too!
- Pros: service, location, great food, great prices, can accomodate large and small groups
- Cons: nada
