smokey, good sunday beer special

by letmetellya

sunday pints of anything are $2 and they have 6 beers on tap including guiness. The bar is very smokey with poor ventilation and no outdoor seating. Health code always hovers between B and a low A. There are also large quantity of gnats that land in your beer (and food) - make sure to cover your pint glass with a coaster.

  • Pros: beer special sunday
  • Cons: dirty air and surfaces

Best Bar in Raleigh

by hrk0309

O'Malleys is the place to go if you are looking for really great food at an inexpensive price!! The drinks are poured to perfection and the price is just right! The staff is also very very friendly and on point!! I would reccommend this place to any and everybody! Luckly I live in the neighborhood behind O'Malleys so it is just a hop, skip and a jump home! Great entertainment on Friday and Sat nights and Wing nite on Sundays! It doesnt get any better than this people!!! It really doesnt!

  • Pros: great food, great entertainment, great people and all for a great price
  • Cons: sometimes a little smokey

Great Tavern

by wstein99

For the people from up north this is the only place in Raleigh that will feel like the local tavern you remember. Service is great and food is fantastic. Great place for a casual dinner or to drink a few beers. They actually serve pitchers.

  • Pros: A tavern
  • Cons: sometimes smokey

keep your date close by

by redsoxwin

The food and drink are great. The service very friendly and efficient. The only catch was I had to keep an eye on the tall bartender that was flirting with my date. He was a nice guy too though had a name like Rock Hilton or something like that, and I would highly recommend the place to all who are looking for a good place to drop a beer down.

  • Pros: inexpensive, good food, beer selection
  • Cons: flirty staff

I just want to say I love this bar! I enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the service is most efficient and the beers selections are great! I recently hosted a birthday party here and they were very accomodating and have some great local bands that play on the weekends and its always FREE to get in.

Amazing little Irish Pub

by Tiezane

looking for a small, cozy little Irish pub type of atmosphere? wanna go where everybody knows your name? O'Malley's is like the Cheers of Raleigh. Very friendly, effieicent, staff, Thursday nights are great with Karaoke and cheap beer... the perfect place to spend a night kicking back with friends and listening to some good music from local musicians.

  • Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly People
