Best Italian Restaurant in the South!
by roccoferraro at Citysearch
I spent much time in and around NYC and was very disappointed with the Italian food in the Triangle until I discovered Tiramisu. Their smaller (selective) menu offers plenty of variety while ensuring that the food is always fresh and creatively prepared. The ambiance combines an upscale feel with the comfort of home. The service is always professional and the Tiramisu is absolutely the best anywhere. Thank you to the DeMartino family for providing such a wonderful dining experience.
Chef Paul knows veal!

My husband and I recently celebrated my birthday at Cafe Tiramisu, and once again, I was quite happy with everything. After being a pescatarian for the past six months I was looking forward to the osso buco, which is awesome. I was not disappointed. Everything was great!
I've been eating at Cafe Tiramisu since it first opened, and have thoroughly enjoyed every meal I've ever had, especially any of the veal offerings. The service is always great. My only complaint is that the place is so small that if you'd don't plan ahead and make a reservation, your chances of getting seated in any reasonable amount of time are slim, especially on the weekends. But great things do come in small packages!
Best tiramisu in town!
by mimimoto at Citysearch
We went there with groupon for $30 to eat $60 and made reservation for Sunday. On coupon it is written that to mention about coupon during reservation which made us little curious. Sunday we went there around 6:30pm and friendly front staff seated us then greeted by Asian female server who seems to have thing under control. We had calamari as starter and then Cesar salad which I thought was pretty good. With bottle of wine and two entree then plate of tiramisu which was recommended was the best I had since NY. Bill came to around $120 less $60 so costing us $90 but overall experience was great and was well worth it.
Great Little Place

Love this place. Call early though as it is small and intimate,,,not a lot of tables.
Staff make you feel like family. Last nite our waitress Benh really made the evening special. So Sweet and caring. A fun witty sparkle. Thanks for all the wedding info, Benh!!
Food is never disappointing. The menu is varied.
Have no idea how anyone can be disappointed.
Get the mussels for an appetiser.. comes in a wonderful wine and cream sauce.

Huge mistake. The "Too much effort" sentiment works both ways.
We were greeted by a young lady who said without a smile "Do you have a table or will you be going to the bar?" We replied, with a smile, "Both". What a conundrum.
Then the bartender intruded on our conversation. Then our hosts showed up.
Then the food was boring. Who ever heard of mussels without some sort of sauce or broth? Air popped mussels anyone?
The place was well staffed but unsettled. The service was very slow, bossy and otherwise preoccupied with everything we did instead of what they could have been doing.
Advice and Warning: Be on your best behavior. Do your level best to cheer up this staff. Follow all their rules. Make it your business to improve their business. And you'll be fine. Or not.
My favorite was when we walked out, we noticed that the outdoor dining faced the back of a fast food restaurant. Nice ambiance!
The only thing keeping this dead, hostile and unenthusiastic place open is the fact that people live within walking distance.

Enjoy!
Great Italian Food

This is a great restuarant with very good food. The sauce is wonderful and even homeade. I've had everything from the Chicken Parm to the Osso Buco. Never had a bad meal! I always recommend this place to all of my friends.
They featured a great deal on living social that is extremely easy ot use. I bought 2 of them.
The staff has always been friendly with good service.
Whoever said it's overpriced must be use to the dollar menu at Wendy's.
Worst Place for Fine Dining
by zypher at Citysearch
I have never been so disappointed with a fine dining experience this awful in years.
My husband and I met another couple that was taking us out. Upon arrival we were informed that the purchased promotion was not as it had been presented when purchased. We were obviously upset and felt deceived. Our waiter, Richard, was unappologetic and as the evening progressed he was very short and rude to us. A very poor excuse for a waiter!!!! The hostess was equally as rude and very defensive. I would not want these employees to be the faces of my restaurant. What is this small business owner thinking?
The food was very plain and lacked flavor. Uncalled for, for an italian restaurant. The price did not match the quality of the food. Maybe they should think about downgrading their restaurant to match their service and food quality.
We will be telling all of our friends that there are other options in North Raleigh for fine dining!!

Greatest Bartender in Town
by Norm07 at Citysearch
I frequent the bar @ Cafe Tiramisu about two nights a week. I sit at the same bar stool(like Cliff and Norm of Cheers). Tammie has my favorite wine sitting there before I even sit down and she introduces me to any new customers that are sitting at her bar. Tammie makes this feel like a family gathering and is very friendly to everyone there. If you are in North Raleigh this is the place to go. OH, and the food is great also.
- Pros: Good Food & Good Service
- Cons: None
