The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.

THE best burgers

I usually can't stand fast food burgers, but the thickburger at Hardee's is the best. I never thought I'd look forward to eating a burger from a fast food establishment, but here I do. It's not like the thin cardboard burgers at mcdonalds or one of the other places. This one's big and juicey and oh so good.

A great burger is THICK and juicy and that's exactly what Hardee's Thickburgers are. Definitely the best burger in town - Angus beef and charbroiled. If you haven't been to Hardee's for a burger lately, you're missing out!

Hardee's Thickburgers have raised the bar for fast-food burgers. They are so good! If you haven't been to Hardee's lately, you are missing out - try to Philly Cheesesteak Thickburger and you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant has the best hamburger that you can get in fast food. My family enjoys this spot and it is my one and only lunch spot. The hamburgers are prepared just for you and not waiting in the box for you to get there. Now that's a plus!

is hot and tasty. No other fast food comes close in quality at such a low price.

Great food and friendly staff

I must say I'm not usually a fan of fast food, however I pass this Hardee's daily to and from work and have found it to be a restaurant that makes you forget it's "fast food". Though the service is fast... the food is great and the people there are always so nice and friendly. I read the previous post about how a fast food place shouldn't be on a list like this... I disagree! If more people had the kind of service that I get here, they'd come here everyday too.
