The readers corner is a fantastic small book store. My favorite part about the readers corner is that you can get used books 24 hours a day...they have a bookshelf outside with books on it for $.25 that you can access all the time and pay through a drop box in the door. the readers corner is also pretty neatly decorated. A friend of my accidentally sold a book along with a pictue of her mother in it...they framed it aand mounted it on the wall. Fun stuff.
Excellent book store

I love to read and really like shopping at used book stores. For one thing I'm cheap, I don't remember the last time I paid full price for a new hardback. And for another, there's nothing like going shopping for one book and coming out with an out of print gem that you would never find in a new book store. I have no qualms against the big chains (how can you hate on a book/music store?), but there's no substitute for a good, cozy, used book store with friendly and helpful staff. Reader's Corner is just such a place. Personally, I'm partial to the classics of literature and they have a great selection which is well organized. Love the jazz and classical music playing over the soundsystem as well. When buying books in Raleigh, this is one of my first stops. The only complaint I have is the narrow aisles which can make it difficult to shop the low shelves, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. Definitely recommended!
- Pros: Helpful staff, good selection, atmosphere
- Cons: Tight aisles
