The Steaks and Creamed Spinach are fantastic

I have eaten at a number of Ruhts Chris restaurants and the food/menu is nearly identical. We always get the Fillet (sometimes we share the large one). Order the Bearnaise sauce for your steak. We love the broiled tomatoes, spinach, among other sides. The lettuce wedge and lobster bisque are great too. The service is always great and I have never felt "looked down" on by the staff because we sometimes share the steak or salad.
Of course the steak comes out piping hot and is so tender - where do they get their meat? While I would not call it a "kids" restaurant, my teenagers love the food as well. It is their first choice for celebrating good grades or Mom's birthday. It's great for just me and the wife too. Though everything is ala carte, the sides are meant to share. If you are not a "drinker" my wife and I have gotten out of their for less than $60 by sharing the large fillet (which they split in the kitchen).
Service is good and not slow.
- Pros: Best Steaks, Creamed Spinach, Great Service
- Cons: It is not inexpensive
Not impressed ....at all

This is the third time we have dined at Ruth's Chris in Cary. The last time was an absolute fiasco. This visit was better (did not have a smoke-filled room over the bar), but not by much. We went with a few friends after being told that they had a "new, lower-priced" menu.
I have to say that by mid-meal, we were put off enough to ask for the manager! I don't know if it was because we were dressed in casual, business attire or what...but our waiter was in a huge hurry to turn our table over!
Every was rushed through. We had our entrees for about four minutes before he was back, not to ask how everything was, but to ask for dessert orders!
The food was good, but no better than we could have eaten at Outback or other such locations. The service on the other hand, was rude and snobbish! I rated this with one star, because for the setting and the prices, the food and service should be nothing less that 5 Stars!
If you check the reviews, 22 out of 74 are three Stars or less....that is nothing to brag about!
One of the BEST Meals I have had in quite a long time...

You can comment on the fantastic food and the great wine list, but let's face it, this doesn't assure a good experience. It's all about the service. I took a friend to this Ruth Chris for a birthday. I had moderate expectations, and would have been happy with a good steak and decent bottle of wine.
I was blown away at the tremendous and fabulous experience we had there that evening. Our server, Joe, took care of us the way servers at fine restaurants did 30 years ago. He was knowledgeable, anticipated our needs, and was skilled at his trade.
Needless to say, I will be using this restaurant frequently.
- Pros: There is not enough room here to describe the positive, but if I had to pick one, it would be service.
- Cons: It is costly, but appropriately priced.
Best restaurant in the area!

I dined at Ruth's Chris about 2 weeks ago and fell in love with the place. Everyone was so gracious. My server was very knowledgeable and very much on point throughout the entire meal. The food was fantastic and the filet was melt in your mouth. The manager even stopped by on two separate occassions to check that all was as good as expected. I will definately revisit this location soon especially since the new menu includes salad, steak and dessert for 35 dollars. Definately an A plus on my list.
- Pros: Service and the food outstanding
- Cons: none

Not excellent but by far better than Jimmy V''s. The steak is just average and crowded but is easy to find.

The atmosphere, food, and service is outstanding here. We often dine at Ruth's Chris and have been to many locations. This one is much better than the newer one in Raleigh.
- Pros: valet parking, great food, service, & ambience
- Cons: none
Great service, so-so food

I ate here this summer one night with my husband and one afternoon with my friends. The service both times was exceptionally attentive. When my husband and I went, I had steak, which was tougher than I expected for such a high end place. I had chicken when I went with my friends, which was fine. I have eaten at other places with similar prices and enjoyed it more. One of my friends remarked that she enjoyed her steak more at Winston's. I did not experience anything remarkable about any of the food. We received a note in the mail from our server two months later inviting us back (my husband had completed a comment card to compliment his service). A nice touch, but not enough to make us spend that much money for average food. I would much prefer Angus Barn (better steaks) or Second Empire (more complex and enjoyable food) to Ruth's Chris.
- Pros: great service, lovely facility
- Cons: food is just okay, not amazing
Sophisticated American chain serves up corn-fed USDA prime cuts and New Orleans-style appetizers and sides.

In Short
This offshoot of a popular New Orleans hangout for politicians features decor of dark woods and comfortable booths, with a separate bar scene. Choice cuts of custom-aged beef arrive in sizzling butter on 500-degree plates. The menu also offers chicken, pork and seafood entrees along with Creole appetizers like shrimp remoulade. Family-style sides include gargantuan onion rings, creamed spinach and various styles of potatoes. Traditional homemade desserts like cheesecake and bread pudding conclude the meal.
Most expensive average food I have ever had

Lighting too dark, odd layout (we sat in the balcony area), slow service (yes we had reservations), my teeth were not sharp enough to chew through the beef. Got a nice letter from corporate HQ and played telephone tag with the local manager and I finally gave up. We will not make the mistake of going there again.
- Pros: Free Valet Parking
- Cons: The food quality and price

My husband and I recently dined at the Ruth's Chris in Cary, and I tell you what, I have never had an experience like this in a resteraunt. The steak absolutely melted in my mouth. Cooked to perfection to say the least! The service was phenomenal! Our server 's name was Matt. I had never dined at a Ruth's Chris prior to this occasion. Matt made us feel so comfortable, and on top of that, had an irresistable sense of humor. His continuous smile let me know that we were in great hands. I highly recommend Ruth's Chris to anyone who wants to enjoy a special evening, where food and service are incomparable to any other resteraunt in the triangle!
- Pros: best service ever! best steak ever!
- Cons: n/a
Best steak and cheese cake I have ever eaten.

We were invited to a seminar at this restaurant after never having tried it on our own due to the prices. I will admit it was the very best steak I have ever had and it didn't stop there. Their homemade cheese cake was to die for and the coffee was an outstanding compliment to it. While this will be a place I can only return for a very special occasion, I would highly recommend it.
- Pros: Delicious
- Cons: Pricey
