New Management has destroyed a great restaurant. I have been going to Angelo's for 5 plus years. The staff has always been great and the food goes without saying. Today I ordered my usual Chef Salad with grilled onion and mushroom. They were out of mushrooms (no problem). I paid the same price but for a smaller salad and my onions was burnt not just grilled. When I called to see if there was a different cook, the new cook I assume begin streaming over the lady that answered the phone. He took the phone from her and said loudly, “I am the manager and we are under new management”. I explained why I was calling. He said that he wasn’t going to change the prices but change the quantity of the meals and that my onions are brown and not burnt. I told him that I was not satisfied with my salad and that he should tell customers of his changes. He shouted at me “Have a nice day” and slammed the phone down in my ear. I am still speechless! I have never been so disrespected by a place that I patronize in my life. I hate that the old owners left. It will be very interesting to see the future of Angelo’s now!

I'm addicted to the Athenians!!!. nice restaurant, definitely try the athenian salads w/pita bread....yummmmmmy! as for other menu choices, they have a pretty good selection, from American to Greek. food is pretty $$$$$$ and the proportions are not that great or large. nevertheless, if you love salads, definitely give the Athenian a try! They also have others to choose from as well. Only negative beyond the prices & proportions is that this place on takes cash. NO debit or credit cards. They need to step up the technology and get a credit card & debit card machine.

Our Spot. I first went to Angelo's back in 2007 and I have to say it is our family. The service is good, fast, and the food is GREAT. I wish they delivered and also was a franchise because they are just amazing! You will not regret coming here try the spaghetti it is to die for.

What a great surprise!. I have been passing this restaurant every day since I started driving to work in downtown Raleigh 3 months ago and always went down Fayetteville Street looking for a place for lunch. I have found a new favorite restaurant. Get a lot of food for the money too. If you like grape leaves, greek salad, pita chips - try the Greek Plate. Very good!

You'll not regret your visit!. A regular at Angelo's lunch......the Athenian Salad can not be beat!! Get the house dressing and you will be hooked. The subs are always fresh and are very tasty. I've not had anything at Angelo's that is not worth your time in stopping. The prices are decent and fair, especially for the quality and service you get. They should be on the top of your places to eat. Wish it was a franchise!!!
