The Manhattan Gourmet Deli restaurant has been closed down since sometime in 2007. Baba Ghannouj Mediterranean Bistro (919-677-6159) has taken its place.

Slow Service

My overall experience at the Manhattan Gourmet Deli was not favorable. I went in for lunch today for a carryout sandwich in the mid afternoon. It was after the lunch rush and there were only 2 customers in line in front of me. 25 minutes later I finally received my sandwich. The food however was good, although given my experience I will not be returning anytime soon. This is not the place for a quick lunch.

Manhattan Gourmet Deli is Greeeaaat!!! The food is awsome, every sandwich is great. The employee's there are great too. Mike was very kind and he talks to alot of people, he's very polite. This IS THE BEST PLACE TO EAT FOR LUNCH AND EARLY DINNER!!!!!!!!!!!! Overall, Manhattan Gourmet Deli Is AWSOME!!!!!

Note: Try the catering too!!! You can get 1, 3, and 6 foot subs too(they are also soooo good)

Amazing Sandwiches!

After moving to NC not too long ago, I was so happy to find this great place for sandwiches. I always get the Twin Tower combo becuase it is by far the best sandwich I've ever had! Their food is incredibly fresh, even the chips are great! The staff are really passionate about working there, and I've never had a bad experience with any aspect. I don't even mind waiting when it's busy, becuase I know the wait is worthwhile. Whenever I have family and friends in town, I take them there and they are jealous when I get to eat there and they can't! I hope they never stop making those amazing sandwiches!!

Great place to eat with the family

The salads here are terrific and my son loves the coney island hot dogs. Homemade mozzarella is super and all the subs are great. Nice feature is the frequent diner discount you get with each receipt. Highly recommended.

The Best Sandwich in Town

I can't imagine some of the other reviewers are referring to the deli I know! My friend and I have frequented Manhattan GD for at least 3 years now. The folks are friendly, and the food is ALWAYS fresh and delicious. I've tried every sandwich on the menu, and they are ALL excellent. (Amanda can make a mean chicken salad!) I very highly recommend Manhattan Gourmet Deli.

Just like "back home"!

HUGE sandwiches! For the same price as a Subway sandwich, you get a lot more meat. And quality Boar's Head meat at that. And the home made meatball sub and home made eggplant parmigiana sandwiches are phenominal. Don't get me started on their fresh, home made mozzarella cheese (which I bought by the pound). Been there a few times recently, and going back. Now I might not have to go back to my old neighborhood any more.
