Not a great experience

by gfeier

My wife and I tried if for the first time today. We found the products adequate, if a bit pricey. In fact, I asked the price of the two items. When I got home and figured out the sales tax, I realized that I had been charged $8.40 instead of $8.04. Bit of dyslexia, I guess. I doubt we'll go back.

Best treat ever on a hot Carolina day.

by omgtaters

Only Pinkberry could beat Goodberry's, and since we don't have them here in the triangle that makes Goodberry's my first choice for frozen custard. You could get a concrete every day for a year and not get the same thing twice with their huge list of ingredients; fresh fruit, candy, malt, cookies, they have it. There is one specialty flavor of custard scheduled every day and a calendar that you can keep up with for your favorites.

  • Pros: Fresh, creamy custard. Variety of toppings.
  • Cons: Occasional crowds

delicious icecream, goodprices, good location

by rachaelgaston

The Goodberry's inm Cary is a wonderful place to get icecream. It is always full of people, and they have really good icecream. The pricing is good compared to other icecream stores. A small is about $2.00 and the kiddie sizes ( which are actually pretty big) are $1.75. They use real fruit, milk, sugar, and everything else. All the icecream is made fresh. It has a better taste than other places since it's really frozen custard.

  • Pros: yummy, kid-friendly, outdoors, good location in the middle of shopping centers
  • Cons: when it'scold you have to eat outside

Best Ice Cream and Dessert!!!

by a_alexander

This is, by far, the Best in Cary. This joint is always busy, always packed. The locals love it, especially Hurricanes hockey player Aaron Ward. The ice cream is so, so savory. It really puts Dairy Queen to shame with their blizzards. Great for kids and adults alike, don't miss this opportunity to come here when visting Cary.

  • Pros: Good for families, good for kids. Fast service.
  • Cons: PACKED TO THE MAX

Reminds me of my childhood

by aurora1626

I grew up in the Midwest, and going to Ted Drewes for frozen custard when we lived in Missouri was always a special treat for me. It's been YEARS AND YEARS since I've been back, but when my husband and I were touring the Raleigh area recently, we came across Goodberry's.

Oh, the wonderful tastiness of Goodberry's frozen custard! And being able to sit outside and eat our treats as they started melting was such a blast. I relived childhood memories that day, and hooked my husband on frozen custard as well. It has a different taste than regular ice cream and you either seem to love it or hate it, but it's thick and dense and just slightly tangy at the same time that it's sweet.

Thanks Goodberry's for taking me back to when I was a kid!

  • Pros: Ambiance, Tasty custard, Outdoors
  • Cons: Can be a little pricey

An extra-creamy, old-fashioned family treat.

by Contributor

In Short
Families line up for homemade ice cream made with a touch of egg. A rotating menu offers three "primary" custards: vanilla, chocolate and a daily special, such as peppermint. Devotees pay homage to this shop for its concretes, a mixture of one of the primary custards with a choice of many toppings, from M&Ms to strawberries to Heath Bar pieces. Sundaes and milkshakes are also sold.

Very Disapointing...

by brucecambellfan

I saw a long line so i gave it a try. had to park accross the street because the parking lot is very small. waited almost 20 minutes while the high school kids working were joking around more than waiting on customers. even what i thought was the manager was playing more than working. had to pay over $4 for mint chocolate chip that i couldnt get in a cone, and by the time i received it, it was almost melted already. their response was "it's natural with no preservatives, so it melts quickly" - if i wanted a shake i would have ordered one. then there are no tables, had to sit on a dirty wooden tree planter to eat my "custard" next time i'll go to the store, pay $3 for a half gallon of non-melting ice cream and sit on my comfortable couch.

  • Pros: lots of toppings
  • Cons: horrible parking, over rated, terrible service

Very Fresh Fruit Toppings

by gospodica

The fruit toppings they use always taste fresh, and their special sundaes and concretes are almost always satisfying! I've rarely been disappointed.
