Exceeded my expectations!

I was in need of a new stylist - someone that could offer advice for what would look good on me, and a place closer to home. I did a lot of searching throughout Raleigh, and found lots of other salon websites. None were very helpful, and most looked pretty stuffy. Lather's website was so welcoming and cheery, and it really helped to read the bios of the stylists and see who might fit me best. I also loved the facebook page - the salon and customer photos, all the information, the constant deals they offer, the alerts for open appointments, and all the fun things they're always doing were great to see... everything from Latherwear to PinkFest to the Hair for Oil Spills donations.

It sealed the deal when I called to make an appointment. Skylar (sp?) was so nice as she recommended Whitney for my curly hair and booked me in an open appointment. She has also been the one to book my other 2 appointments, as well as check me out afterwards each time, and is always very nice.

Whitney has been great each of the 3 times I've gone so far. She always listens to me and gives great advice and answers to my many questions. She always makes me feel comfortable and at ease, and she does a wonderful job at making me feel beautiful and loving my hair again. She gives a great blowout after the cut, and even more importantly, I continue to enjoy my hair once I get home and style it myself as well, which is a huge deal. I had been flat-ironing my hair for years, frying it and trying to deter the curls. But I've got a great cut now, thanks to Whitney, and I wear it naturally curly 95% of the time - it is so much healthier, and I can honestly say that I finally enjoy my curly hair. And I am so appreciative for that. She also recommended some great products, which have been such a help in restoring my hair - but the products have never been pushed onto me, which I'm also very appreciative of.

I got the opportunity to meet Jessica last time as well, when she was standing at the front in between appointments. She is super nice, and was very glad that I enjoyed the website and facebook page, when I told her how helpful it all was. She's a great business owner, and it shows in the salon and everything she's got going on. The atmosphere is very open and relaxed, while also modern and fun. They keep up with all the trends, while remaining classic with great customer service, and they offer great tutorials and advice on the website and in person. And on top of it all, the prices are fantastic for the wonderful service and quality of cuts. The combination is truly what attracted me here - they are down-to-earth and obviously interested in making everybody happy, no matter what service you come in for. This is the most I've ever enjoyed any hair salon, and I'm elated that I found Lather. They've been open about a year now, and I'm so glad they're here. I felt welcome from the moment I walked in for my first appointment, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it since then.

Lather is a professional, fun atmosphere. Each time I leave the salon I am smiling. Jessica and the girls really know what they are doing. I would recommend Lather to anyone!

Incredible experince! They saved the day!

Long story shorty...decided to highlight my own hair...DISASTER! After calling my usual stylist and being told she was out of town I started to panic. I did a search for color correction and Lather popped up! Made a phone call and they got me right in! Lauren is incredible and patient and I now have a new stylist! She did an awesome job on hair that looked like a puzzle! Change is good and I am so glad that I can now call Lather and Lauren my new "hair therapy home!" Can't wait to go back!

I first started with Jessica (recommended by a friend) a couple of years ago when my stylist of 10 years didn't know what to do when I had colored my hair too dark. Jessica did and I have vbeen going to her ever since. Thanks, Jessica!

My new favorite salon!

For anyone who has some gray to cover, pay attention: I went in with major gray roots showing and Jessica not only chose a color that I love, but applied it in such a way that as it's growing out, there's no root line! I'm amazed -- and couldn't be happier. I love the simple but hip environment, the friendliness of the entire staff, and the fact that, even though Lather is an upscale salon, the prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is far from pretentious. An all-around excellent salon experience.

Lather Hair Salon makes me look younger!

Jessica (creator of Lather Hair Salon) has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 7 years now. She is phenomenal. She is always up on the latest trends, cuts and innovations in hair design. Thanks to her people I meet think I'm 5-10 years younger than I am ;-).

Recently I met with Alissa for a make up lesson. She gave me some great tips and color ideas that work with my skin tones.

Awesome Experience

I always know what to expect when I go to Lather. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful beyond expectations but they really have a talented group of stylists when it comes to great styling and color. I have never left the salon disappointed and the color is always awesome. Lather also makes you feel special because they care and want to do a great job. I would recommend this salon to anyone that wants great looking hair.

Lather Salon is the Best!

When my Stylist of 15 years moved away, I was apprehensive about finding a new Stylist. A friend recommended Jessica at Lather Salon. At my appointment, Jessica made me completely at ease. She suggested a different cut and color. I was amazed at the difference! The cut perfectly framed my face and the color enhanced my skintone. I also had my eyebrows waxed (I had thought about it, but have never done), it was painless and quick. I love the way my hair and eyebrows look now! Since my positive experience with Jessica at Lather, my two sisters, two nieces, and two brothers-in-law are now clients. Thank you, Jessica!

Great Colorist and an awesome Cut!!

I came across Lather one night after the gym and randomly stopped in. My hair was in real bad shape and hadn't had a style for months. Thanks to Lauren my hair has never looked better! She took the time to find out exactly what i would like while keeping my daily routine and maintenance to a minimum. Lauren knew exactly what would look best with my skin tone and advised me what shades would last longest! She has made a loyal customer out of me (and my coworkers)!
