The Oscar Sandwich Is Great
by ch1975 at Citysearch
My family and I order from here fairly regularly. Although the food is good, service is sometimes lacking. Their Oscar Sandwich is awesome!!
- Pros: Good food most of the time
- Cons: Service is lacking at times
DELICIOUS and FAMILY FRIENDLY
by HSMOM at Citysearch
La Dolce Vita is my favorite italian restaurant in the area! My family and I have eaten here many times and the food has always been plentiful and delicious. We have had everything from the bruscetta, spinach dip, many of the sandwiches, wraps, calzones, margherita pizza, Thai pizza and a plain ole pie. All have been very good. We are an italian family and La Dolce Vita has not dissapointed us. The atmosphere is family friendly. Service is not perfect anywhere you go, but we have had consistently good service here. Some servers are more engaging and quicker than others, but, overall very good. We are also NY Pizza fans as the pizza is FANTASTIC, but their menu is more along the lines of a Pizza place, whereas La Dolce Vita is more of an Italian Restaurant.
- Pros: Excellent calzones; Margherita Pizza is great
- Cons: A little loud (concrete floors)
Ok. That's about it.

I've eaten there about 4-5 times, since they opened. I keep going back every once in a while, hoping they'd get better, or I'd find a different menu item that was really good. Not yet. Pizza is ok. I've tried a couple different, including a make-your-own. It's ok.... didn't knock my socks off. I was really disappointed in the bruschetta. My wife, being a vegetarian, loves brushetta when we eat Italian. The use their facaccia, which is really just their pizza dough baked as bread. It's not the same.. and was just totally bland. Since I prefer NY Pizza, I haven't been back here much. It's nice to have a change of restaurant every once in a while, but my wife won't go back.
- Pros: A different option for Holly Springs residents
- Cons: Totally mediocre
This is Margherita pizza???
by sammygirl25 at Citysearch
Third time visiting, don't know why. Maybe no competition in Holly Springs... Anyway, waited over 50 minutes for a pizza and sandwich. Server only came once in all that time to bring one soda. Margherita pizza was horrible. No sauce, overloaded with cheese and garlic. A traditional Margherita pizza is plum tomatoes, dobs of fresh mozzarella and fresh basil leaves. This was cheese on bread!!! Will never go again. Forgot to mention my son got very ill the first time we went. He will never ever go back there. Second time I ordered stuffed peppers which was one half of a pepper stuffed (and I mean stuffed) with cheese and only cheese. I have learned my lesson!!!!
- Pros: CLOSE TO HOME
- Cons: SERVICE, FOOD, EVERYTHING ELSE
Best Pizza in Holly Springs
by hshollygrove at Citysearch
My wife and kids love this place. The americana pizza is awesome. We have been going to this place since it opened a few years ago. I have not had many problems with the service.. The only thing that I don't like is that the floor is concrete so when my 2 yr old gets a little loud it is really loud.
- Pros: Very good pizza
Hidden gem with great food at great prices!

My friends live in Holly Springs, so we've been here MANY times for both lunch and dinner during the week and on the weekends. Though the service is a little iffy depending on which teenager is waiting on you, the food is excellent! I've had the Thai Chicken Pita Pizza - YUM. I've had the Insalata Verde, the Insalata Roma, the Spinach Salad, the Mediterranean Chicken Wrap, the Thai Chicken Wrap, various kinds of pizza. I have never tasted anything bad here, in fact, everything has been excellent! I especially like the Spinach Salad and the Make-Your-Own pizzas! This is a great place to lunch with friends, bring the family for dinner, or grab a quick bite to eat on the weekend. Honestly, if you eat here, I don't t hink you'll find anything that doesn't taste great!
- Pros: Great food! Great prices! Great location!
- Cons: Service is iffy depending on the teenager that's waiting on you.
Best Lasagne I've Ever Tasted
by emaleth72 at Citysearch
After La Dolce Vita opened here in Holly Springs we waited to go there, wanting to hear what other people thought first. Unfortunately the couple of people who went there said it was "okay" at best. Fortunately, we decided to give it a try ourselves a few months ago. Thank goodness we did! They have the BEST lasagne I have ever had and they should bottle and sell their pasta sauce by itself. The foccaccia bread we had as an appetizer was hot and fresh and excellent dipped in that sauce.
The lasagne is so thick with cheese it hangs off the fork. My son loves spaghetti, but rarely finishes a whole serving at any restaurant. At La Dolce Vita, he ate every bit and gushed about how good it was...he's almost five if that tells you anything.
The service is friendly. The food comes out a little slow because they make it all fresh, but it is definitely worth a little wait. The prices are very reasonable as well.
Give it a try!
- Pros: Service, Ambience, Excellent food, Value
- Cons: Slightly longer than usual wait on the food (but worth it)
