Great Irish Pub. I really enjoy going to Napper Tandy's. The bartenders (Kelly, Rich and others) are awesome, the food is wonderful, and I really like the Irish band that plays there from 7-9 most Friday nights. This band's songs and insights have encouraged me to cherish my Irish heritage.

Best Irish Pub in Raleigh. The first thing that you notice when entering Napper Tandy's is the atmosphere. I was surprised to find that the back bar had been transported from Langton's in Kilkenny which just happened to be the first place I stayed in Ireland! I knew I had found the right Pub. On Friday night they have authentic Irish music from 7-9PM. Everyone there is having so much fun you just have to join in.

Go Irish. Ok so your downtown Raleigh and it is lunchtime, you have less than 10 bucks but real hungry, you hate fast food and want to sit down. Head over to Napper's awesome lunch specials, I'm not sure what day the Pizza soup was in the lineup as soup of the day but I hit the jackpot. That with a huge wrap and a drink for under ten bucks....SCORE. On the other side of that coin I visited one evening that they had All you can eat wings. This is for you if and only if you like COLD under flavored wings. If the wings are avoided go for it though. Plus the old school Irish atmosphere is Awesome.

Great Irish Pub. I took my Dad to this pub when he visited me from Northern VA. I couldn't take him to the run down college bars on hillsbor. st. The service was good and I think this bar looks awesome inside and out. It definitely left a good impression of Raleigh with my Dad.

Horrible Service & Staff. Napper Tandy's is a great bar for the weekends. However, their day staff are horrible. One server in particular ignored tables in her section because she didn't feel like helping them. One group walked out because no one would help them. The bartender wouldn't even take drink orders. They were rude and didn't seem to care about their customers

Love this place!. My friends and I love to go to karaoke at Napper Tandy's on Wednesday. They have awesome drink specials and the staff there is quick and polite. Collin is a great DJ who is easy to talk to and makes it a point to get to know the regulars. Definitely try them out!

Sorely Surprised. I've been in some Pub-in-a-box Irish Theme pubs, but this one takes the scone. I was embarrassed to be Irish. Also tell your aging house band, Eire Lingus, that the word 'Eire' without the fada accent does not mean 'Ireland'! It literally means 'Burden' in the Irish tongue !!!!

Pros: Food is fair bar food.

It's nearby to The Hibernian on Glenwood if you want the feel of a real Irish pub.

Cons: More of a sports bar.

I expected to hear the music on the video on their web page - instead I got old crooning paddy-wannabees playing plastic guitars. Disappointing.

Thank you for such an awesome night. My fiancee (now husband) and I were looking all around for a restaurant where we could hang out and have some food and drinks with our out of town wedding guests. Many other places were not willing to accomidate 25 to 30 people and reserve an area of the restaurant without charging a very high fee. Napper Tandy's didn't think twice about giving us the patio so that we could spend the evening with our guests. The service was wonderful!!! The food was also great. We also loved the relaxed atomosphere!! Thank you so much for helping to make that night a special one for us!!!

Best Irish Pub in the Triangle. I celebrated my 30th birthday party at Napper Tandy's. They had plenty of room to seat the large party that I brought with me. The food was amazing! Great selection of traditional Irish food from cornbeef and cabbage to shepards pie that my family loved. We had a wonderful time! The service was great in catering to the needs of my grandmother and her lack of mobility. They had huge beer selection! I think there had to be at least 15 different beers on draft plus several different choices for bottles. I would suggest for anyone to go to Napper Tandy's especially for celebrations!

Great Bar. I want to first say that I love Napper Tandy's. The bartenders make the best drink and service is amazing. My only warning is there is often a cover for the live bands they have, it is usually about 5 dollars. It is also very much a guy bar, which can be good. It is not a good place if you are looking to dance and watch out for the extremely trashed guys you will find if you show up around 1.
