BURNT EYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by fefefjones1167
I went to this spa to recieve a pomengrante facial, and this was the worst experience ever. The tech didn't extract anything from my skin. She placed the chemical right up under my eyes which left my the skin under my eyes raw and burnt. I experienced this PAIN for 4days after this facial.
I got the facial on Sun and I went back to talk to the Manager on Monday and I didn't recieve any customer service or concern from management either. She treated me as if I was trying to Recieve something free.
I was outraged. I finally got someone that over heard my issue to take a look at my face, Which this employee agreed that the chemical had been left too long on my fair and should have NEVER been Placed that close to eyes.
I was told by the Manager that i would recieve a call from the Owners regarding this matter, which of course i didn't
I will NOT recommend this place for spa TO ANYONE.
- Cons: WORSE TREATMENT EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great Massage, Great Skin Wrap, So-so Bikini Wax
by wji222
Went to Iatria two days ago and had a three hour-long experience, most of which was outstanding.
Walked in, the receptionist was friendly if not overtly conversational. Service was fast and I was picked up almost right away (I had an appointment) to start off my experience.
First, had the Bikini Wax. This left much to be desired. My skin was dry afterwards and she didn't pluck, which left stray hairs. However, she was nice and friendly and made great conversation. However, it was probably the fastest bikini wax I've ever had and I didn't realize until afterwards why. Overall, it wasn't a horrible wax, just not completely up to par with others that I've had.
The seaweed body wrap was great. They have an eerily lit red room (heat lamps) that keep you cool after they shower the stuff off of you. The woman was great and very chatty, talking and reassuring me through the whole thing because apparently, a lot of people get freaked out through this service since they wrap you up like a cocoon. My skin is now noticeably softer.
The massage was the best part. At first, I hadn't booked the deep tissue massage but conveniently, they had a spot open right after my body wrap. I waited in the Relaxation Room for about thirty minutes before Nina, the massage therapist, arrived. It was probably one of the greatest deep tissue massages I've ever had. She taught me that you don't always have to apply extreme pressure in order to feel the results.
Overall, it was a great experience. The decor is not overly sophisticated but very comforting and pleasant. I love the fact that everyone was so charming and friendly and willing to talk to you through every process. If communication is King, then Iatria is the Palace of all Raleigh Spas. Definitely recommended.
Best pedicures!

Pleasant atmosphere and the best pedicures in the Triangle. A most relaxing place with great people!

I had wrote a comment about Iatria in March 2007 about my experience. My first experience wasn't so relaxing, however I decided to give Iatria another shot, and let me tell you it was the best massage I have ever had. There are new employees all around, and everyone from the front dest to my therapist was so extremely nice. When I go to a spa I want it to be realxing, enjoyable, and most of all worth my money. Everyone is going to have a bad day, and I must have gone on that day in 2007. I would strongly suggest if you are looking for a true spa experience you should go to Iatria on Creedmoore Rd in raleigh!!!! I hope this helps-
enjoy!!

- Pros: EVERYTHING
- Cons: It only lasts for a hour
Great Customer Service and Excellent Spa Treatments
by kenzie10
Unlike other spas in the Triangle, Iatria has excellent customer service related to scheduling and appointments. The staff can always be counted on for a reminder call, and cancellation policies are reasonable.
Additionally, Spa Treatments at Iatria always exceed my expectations. The staff are professional, friendly, and skilled. They make great recommendations.
Great Job, Iatria!
- Pros: Great Customer Service
Great Massage

Pluses: I took my mom here for a massage recently (her first) and we both had a great experience. The staff was pleasant and the massages were excellent. I love those heated massage beds! There was new updated furniture in the lobby that was very pretty and comfortable.
Minuses: There were very few "women's magazines" available in the lounging area and there were no snacks or fruit (maybe because our appointment was at 4:00 p.m.?). They had only one blowdryer in the changing area. My mom and I both needed to use it, so it doubled our departure time. There was no lotion.
Great place to relax/great hair removal
by MikalaM
I go for an occassional massage, but regularly for electrolysis. The staff is always friendly, the atomsphere relaxing, and I wouldnt recommend anywhere else. For electrolysis, the price is below what I was paying at another local place.
- Pros: Calming music, friendly staff
- Cons: cant think of one

Iatria Day Spa is a truly wonderful salon. By reading some of the negative reviews and strong comments it sounds like some former competitors are writing in. I'm here to tell you that there is nothing but positve things about Iatria. The BEST OF THE BEST for brazilians and great facials. Great products.
- Pros: Jeff and Meri best massage
- Cons: saturdays get busy
