Always love my results!!. I went a week ago and I love my results. I have gone before and I always love my results. Microdermabrasion is the only thing that gets rid of my acne. I have tried Proactive, Dermatologist, and even another Spa that I usually go to for my massages and pedicure, but they never work or leave dark spots on my face. I usually get those painful mountain sized zits!! She did ask me about the eyebrow waxing but I said no and she moved on to talking about my skin. The very first time I went she did tell me about Dermalogica and other things and they were perfect for my face! I mean I have had horrible acne my whole life and I am 34 now and finally get to have a clear face! I don't know about the facials here because I always get the microdermabrasion. I do peel afterwards but I will put up with that over The mountain zits any day. My oldest daughter has my genes and my acne and I am taking her next week. She was using proactive and still is but the blackheads and mountain zits are still there. I do trust Lina and I hope she can help my daughter's skin. And if she suggest things I don't want I will tell her no.

Nothing but a sales pitch. I purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute European facial. I arrived 15 minutes early and was seen 20 minutes after my appointment time. Ten minutes of my facial time was wasted in teaching me how to wash my face with their products. I then waited another five minutes for a facial room to be ready. I was told that I needed light treatment and microdermabrasion - it was a very aggressive upsale. I declined. The facial was ok at best, roughly 40 minutes of the 60 I paid for. The aesthetician asked if I wanted my scalp massaged, and I said yes. At checkout, I was billed for a 15 minute scalp massage, though the process was more like 5-7 minutes. The aesthetician attempted to sell me a load of products that I was not familiar with. While I understand that the point of the Groupon is to get new business in the door, the way to get the new client to return is not with pushy sales tactics that make the client ashamed of how their skin is perceived. I certainly won't be back.

beware the upsale. I had the exact experience as the May 18, 2010 reviewer. Every detail, even to the suggestion for the eyebrow wax. The fact this was 18 months later tells me this is the norm for this place.

Perfect!!!. Went back last Thursday and had another Microdermabrasion and it was PERFECT!! I could tell the immediate deference in my skin! I waited the 3 days like Lina said and I also bought the home treatment that is safe for pregnant women! I look great! Feel great! Even my husband ask did I setup another appointment! Which I did. Lina took care of my acne, my acne scars, blackheads and smoothness. I will be taking my oldest daughter and I have told my aunt who wants to go also! Thank you Lina, pregnancy can be rough on acne prone skin.

I thought I made an appt for a facial, WOW was I wrong!. My appt started 25 min late. Lina recommended Microdermabrasion and Revitalight treatments with no alternatives. She never explained the treatments but did tell me the price. I told her I’m not familiar with these. She said no problem and passed me off to a staff member who performed the treatments. Lina came back occasionally to check and push additional treatments (eye brow wax and tinting which I declined.)

At check out, Lina gave me a sheet of instructions and information on the microdermabrasion. Why didn’t I get this BEFORE the treatment?? I would have declined the treatment after seeing the list of stuff I could not do and must do! Then she said I needed to use their products including the Precleanser, Cleanser, Moisturizer, Eye firming cream, Exfoliating cream, another Cleanser to alternate, cotton swabs (which were $6), and Sunscreen. She handed me a bill for almost $500 ($200 of treatments + $300 of products.) I told them no. I would buy a few products since I just found out I could no longer use the ones I had (part of the Microdermabrasion sheet.) After several times back and forth, I ended up with smaller bottles of some and samples of other. She said when I came back for my next treatment, I really needed to get the other products. What next treatment?? She handed me a pamphlet on the Revitalight treatment (once again, why did I not get this information BEFORE the treatment?) It recommends 6 sessions about 2 weeks apart and then 1 session every 2 months. I could get cosmetic surgery for the price of all of this over the first year! No thank you! Then she tried to push the makeup as I was trying to get out the door.

I understand trying to push your products but the part I can’t get over is how bad and how ugly I felt after leaving this office. I don’t believe she gave me the best advice for me or my skin as I did not want long term continued treatments – I wanted an appt for a 1 time facial to use the gift certificate I received as a present and I really feel she recommends these 2 treatments to everyone.

Wonderful Surprise. Lina's knowledge and her commitment to making sure my my skin for my future; as I approach a big number b-day, is graceful and beautiful. I felt confident that she could help me and felt a genuine concern that I had not felt at other spas. She is the real deal and I highly recommend Skin Essence A Day Spa. Thank you Lina and staff.

Wow! This is the most prestigous Spa in North Carolina. Skin Essence is the best investment for my peace of mind, extremely well managed skin and a radiance. I came across Lina a good while back and after recieving the most advanced and wonderful facial that I have ever gotten, I have always kept coming back. There is no other similar spa and skin care business out there that can even come close to the benefits of using Skin Essence. Lina takes the time and shows a true professionalism in studying your skin type, condition and state before making realistic suggestions on how to improve your skin textue, condition and radiance.

I have taken Lina's advice and she has always used the latest techiques, studies and technology in improving my skin. I always look so much more refreshed and well rested after her treatments. You owe it to yourself to go see her. You will never look elsewhere again, I promise.

I owe my complextion and radiance to Lina.

Thank you Lina! You are the best.

It is an honor to have your skills available.

Lina’s kinda like that grandma that knows everything, just a. The atmosphere is very comforting and relaxing. Linas experience provides you with the satisfaction that you’re getting the best. I almost get the sense that she does this because she genuinely likes helping people, and wants people to feel happy about themselves.

I can’t compare this spa to any others because of the fact that I haven’t been to any other in the area. Actually, this was the first spa I have ever gone too, and I am so glad I picked this one. Before I decided on which spa was right for me, I did what your doing right now…read reviews on the local day spa’s in the area, with a concentration in facials, and more specifically, microderm abrasions. Being a young guy, I was a little apprehensive about even stepping foot in such a place, but really felt welcomed from “hello”. Lina’s assistant Emily did a wonderful job throughout my treatment session, which consisted of a facial, microderm abrasion, followed by a chemical peel, lasting about an hour each time, for a total of six sessions. I am pleased with my results. Don’t wait any longer, schedule an appointment today.

best place to go for any treatment. I found skin essence one day and went in to check it out. I ended up asking about my blackheads and Lina was so helpful, explaining to me why I couldn't get them out myself. I booked an appointment for microdermabrasion and a peel. I ended up getting vitalight too, which I love!! Lina is not just an esthetician that puts a mask on your face and washes it off.She is a wonderful source of knowledge on skin care and takes the time to give you all the tools you need to keep your skin beautiful. I am so happy that my blackheads are gone and now I know how to take care of my skin!
