Great Customer Service
by hrsidden05 at Citysearch
Before coming to Alexia's, I had given up on finding bridesmaid dresses- at one shop I went to, I had awful customer service, another closed it's doors after I found dresses and another just did not have what I was looking for. I went to Alexia's on a recommendation from my photographer (Neil Boyd) and while I did not wind up purchasing my bridesmaid dresses at Alexia's (long story having nothing to do with Alexia's), I experienced excellent customer service there. I wanted my bridemaids to wear a dark turquoise dress that I was having a hard time finding anywhere. Alexia's sent a swatch of my fabric directly to the designer Lynn Lugo (!) and while the color could not be matched in the dress I picked out on my first visit, Alexia's coordinated the shipment of 2 dresses to the store that were similar to my favorite that they definitely could match the color to. Alexia's also offers a discount on the Lynn Lugo dresses if your maids purchase 3 or more, which was something I did not see in other dress shops in the area. Throughout the whole process, they were very communicative and great to work with. They even fit me in with only 2 days notice, on a busy Saturday when they were short-staffed. I highly recommend Alexia's! And while I am not getting my bridesmaid dresses there, they do have a nice selection of designer cocktail dresses that I plan to purchase from for all of my wedding festivities.
Great Experience!

I had the most wonderful experience at Alexia's! I am in my mid-50's so did not want a traditional white wedding gown. I called Alexia's and they invited me to a Liancarlo Trunk Show as they have a line of evening wear that might work for me. I took my best friend with me and we tried on dress after dress...all the girls oohed and aahhed and it was great fun. Then the Liancarlo rep, who had spent time talking and getting to know me, asked me to try on a dress the shop only had in white; he said he would make it two inches longer (it was short for my long 55-year old legs!) and out of navy blue instead of the white.... it was absolutely perfect and everything I wanted! I could not have asked for more! The dress was fabulous and exactly as promised! It was definately the perfect dress for me! We celebrated at the shop with campaign! All the attention made me feel like a queen!
The only hitch was Ruth, alterations. When I went for my first fitting she overlooked an issue with the bodice. Unfortunately Rebecca was out that night and the shop was short-staffed. I called Rebecca the next day and told her there was a problem. When I went back, she noticed right away and had Ruth fix it. Because I was only days away from the wedding and from out of town, Rebecca had her fix it that afternoon while I waited. Then, when fixing that caused a second problem, the "backroom" flew into action and fixed it right away. I was glad no one tried to tell me I was imagining things!Overall, I was very, very pleased with the experience. The staff was great and my dress was absolutely beautiful! I would recommend Alexia's to every bride!
Also, I agree that I never felt pressured to purchase, which I appreciated very, very much!
HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO OTHER BRIDES!!!

Alexia’s was nothing short of perfect. The staff, the selections, the help, everything!
I first started off at Lana Addison, the sister store, and almost had my mind made up on a simple Paula Varsalona from that one and only visit. They were so kind and informed yet not at all pushy that I actually in hindsight after trying two other bridal dress stores felt bad for leaving… there is nowhere else in the area that treats its brides like they do. I swear by it! So I asked if I could have the dress taken to Alexia’s this time so I could also try on some others. We discussed looks and costs and overall wants and they pulled several all while being mindful of budget… I ended up getting the Vera Wang “Clarissa” because Alexia herself came up the best customization ideas. The experience was perfect!
While most other places would maybe sacrifice time or effort after the sale, they still went above and beyond my expectations. Rebecca and Kristen are incredible consultants; I can’t possibly go on enough about how helpful and eager to help they were. They always had my things ready- dress, veil, sash, accessories- and they even delivery your dress on location, polished, professional and ready! The seamstress, Colleen, really was wonderful when you looked at how much work was done to the dress. She was able to stay collected even when I changed my mind or showed stress and at the end of the day I had no issues with the dress; it was handled perfectly.
Moreover we had my mom’s MOB dress ordered from a Liancarlo event and it was well worth it. It was accidently sent without buttons over the zipper as expected and it was taken care of without having to think twice. She is petite and we were in need of heavy alterations and they were right on. I also ordered a Paris sash and it arrived beautiful and ready to go.
I HIGHLY, WITHOUT A SINGLE RESERVATION recommend Alexia’s Bridal Boutique... They take a lot of the stress out of the equation and let you enjoy every bit of the bride-to-be experience!!
Best part of the wedding planning experience!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Dress shopping, particularly at Alexia's, was definitely my favorite part of the entire planning experience. Alexia and her staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful each time we were there. When my fiance and I decided to move our wedding up four months, Alexia's Bridal Boutique worked to have my dress fitted and perfect in one week. They even had my veil of choice rushed in in a few days. As far as customer service is concerned, you can't beat it. And you'll feel like a queen for a day when you go. I never felt rushed or pressured, which made the experience peaceful and memorable.
Wonderful Experience

I had a first-rate experience at Alexia’s.
Having been engaged for about six weeks, I had shopped at two other stores. Both were nice, but Alexia and her staff were especially sweet. My matron of honor accompanied me to my first appointment, and we were both treated with kindness and professionalism. I received plenty of individual attention from Rebecca and Alexia, who both pitched in to help me pick the perfect gown.
Rebecca was efficient in each of my successive appointments, and she has been helpful every step of the way. I had my final fitting yesterday, and the gown, veil, and chosen customizations worked out perfectly. My mother and bridesmaids have accompanied me to different fittings, and each woman has commented on Rebecca’s thoughtfulness and the quality work performed by Alexia’s seamstresses. The ladies were also extremely accommodating when it came to my bridal portrait – they delivered my dress to the beauty salon, making it possible for me to step into the gown as soon as my hair and makeup were finished. Afterward, the dress was cleaned and perfectly stored, making it possible for me to relax in anticipation of my big day.
My wedding will take place in a week, and the store has agreed to deliver my gown to my hotel suite, where it will be pressed and readied for the ceremony. Alexia, Rebecca, Maria, and Ruth have all impressed me with their kindness and attention to detail.
Wonderful Bridal Boutique

I recently got married in September. I have to say the hardest part of the wedding was finding my dress. For me a designer dress was not important, I mean who actually sees the tag on the inside of the dress? However, once I arrived at Alexia's bridal boutique and tried on the Vera Wang, I eventually purchased, I immediately noticed the difference. Ladies even if you don't want designer at least go try it on one to see what an amazing difference it is.
I really appreciated all the special attention and kindness of all the people that work there. In particular Charlotte and Ruth, they were wonderful. Charlotte helped me chose my dress and seemed to know me better than I knew myself! She chose a long veil for me, when I initially wanted a shorter one. Once I tried on the longer veil, I was in love and let me tell you, it was GORGEOUS in my photos with my dress. Charlotte also helped to MAKE me dress exactly what I wanted. She help by adding a sash that fit perfectly.
Ruth was fabulous, I enjoyed working with and she was very patient with my family and I. She helped my sister in-law with learning how to bustle my dress, which certainly came in handy on the wedding day, as we had 15 minutes to bustle my dress! Because of the time and patient Ruth took with my family and adding extra details, they had it bustled with no problem.
My experience with Alexia's Bridal was one of the best!
They even provided a gift card for my dress cleaning, which I can't thank them enough for.
Please visit them and judge for yourself.
Unbelievable Bridal Salon
by hlockwood at Citysearch
I am a recent bride who just got married a few weeks ago and I purchased my gown from Alexia's! You realize this salon is different in comparison to the other stores throughout the Triangle the moment you enter the door. I was immediately greeted and my guests were served wine and champagne. The consultant, Rebecca, sat down with me to learn more about my wedding and style so she could best assist with selecting my gown. Their dresses were unbelievable and unique and didn't all "look the same" like at the other salons I shopped. The entire staff was friendly and professional every time I called or visited. Alterations were also easy and stress free. I received so may compliments from my guests and felt so special in my dress, which reconfirmed to me how perfect the gown was for my wedding. I would highly recommend this salon to any bride looking for a unique store where everything will run stress free and smoothly.
Don't let Ruth near your dress!
by BonnieBlue19 at Citysearch
Do NOT let Alexia's seamstress, Ruth, touch your dress! I cannot believe a high end boutique would hire someone as incompetent as her. She completely butchered the dress. Futhermore, she was clueless as to what type of silk was being used. The bridesmaid, however, was able to indentify it! How can you be a seamstress and not know the difference and names of fabrics? Ruth was also unable to offer any solutions on how to fix her butchered job. Once again, our bridesmaid had to come to the rescue to suggest ideas.
What's worse is that when the situation was mentioned to an independent seamstress (she is helping with the veil), she was able to name Ruth without even being told her name! Sorry, folks, but that is disturbing! If an independent seamstress can give a name point blank, then there is a serious problem!
Completely Overrated
by EleanorL at Citysearch
I have been completely dissatisfied with the
purchase of my wedding gown at Alexia's. Reasons for my dissatisfaction include the following:
1. Even though I was told the gown would take 6 months, The gown did not take 6 months, it took 9 months, and I had to repeatedly contact Alexias, beginning in June, for monthly update on the status of my dress. I specifically ordered the dress in January anticipating that it would arrive during the summer and didn't receive it until the end of September.
2. On my contract I specifically had a custom ordered gown. When I received my dress in
October, NONE of these specifications were adhered to. When I asked why my gown was not custom made, the sales rep she said that
Alexia's would do that in-house.
3. Due to the fact that my dress was not ordered to specifications, I wasted 2 trips to Alexia's for fittings with their seamstress, who attempted to make the dress that the designer should have. I was mortified at the second fitting. The seamstress did a poor quality job and I find it appalling that I have to go through her alterations when I specifically asked for the designer to make the change. I did not pay for a seamstress to design my dress, I paid for the designer.
4. Because the dress was not ordered to my size (even though measurements
were taken in January--and my size has not changed), the seamstress took the sides
of the dress in and did a very poor job, making the alterations glaringly obvious. On the back of the dress, the silk dupioni was bunching up above my bottom--making it look like I had a diaper on! When one of my bridesmaids
pointed this out to the seamstress, she looked dumbfounded and did not give any possible solutions to the problem. My bridesmaid had to come up with a solution--and she's not even a seamstress. Additionally, when I asked the seamstress what type of material my gown was made of, she had no idea. I find it absurd that Alexia's employs seamstresses to work with fabric that they don't even know the name of. Again, my bridesmaid had to inform me that my gown was made of silk dupioni.
5. Customer service. I have been unhappy with the sale rep's attitude toward myself and my bridesmaids. As soon as I paid for my dress, her attitude has been snooty and unwelcome. Every time I contact her she sounds disinterested and acts like she's doing a favor talking to me. When my bridesmaids have accompanied me she has shown no respect, and repeatedly reprimanded them for "touching" the dresses. How are they supposed to help me determine if the quality of my dress is to my specifications if they
can't even look at other dresses in the store? At my second fitting, the sales rep didn't even come to help me answer questions. She was busy eating popcorn at the front desk. Any time I had a question, she just yelled back
to me in response. I was very frustrated with the second fitting, and she showed no interest in helping me with the problems caused by seamstress's alterations.
Brides beware -- if you want to get ripped off and experience poor customer service, DO NOT go here.
Alexia's is one-of-a-kind!
by muzzo123 at Citysearch
I shopped all around Raleigh and Charlotte for that perfect dress and it wasn't until I visited Alexia's in Cary that I found the one! I was very impressed from the moment I walked in; I had my own luxurious fitting room, very own employee to help me narrow down styles, and they even offered me wine! Alexia's definitely went above and beyond my expectations! I highly recommend this place to any bride looking for that attention to detail! From your first visit (and yes, believe them when they tell you you'll find the perfect dress on your first visit) until that moment you take your dress home - you will be impressed!!
