Editorial Review. Known for gelatos and sorbettos, this small cafe also serves panini sandwiches and salads.

Authentic!. I love the Gelato Cafe. You are able to sample a variety of gelato flavors before you decide, and they are able to fit at least a couple flavors into the smallest cup :) I had never had anything comparable in America before moving to Raleigh and eating here....just like the gelato in Italy!

A Real Treat. We're lucky here in Raleigh to have a place like this. Tasty, authenic Italian gelato in a good variety of flavors. The owner personally makes sure all the gelato is of the highest quality and she makes sure you get the best.

Usually, when I go out to eat, I skip dessert, then head over here for Gelato instead!

A refreshing taste of Italy in Raleigh. How flavorful! The gelato here is more taste, less guilt. Everything is good, I haven't tried the food since I have gone here only for a snack or dessert, never a meal. Though parking is less than ideal, this treat is well worth it! If you haven't come by you are really missing somrthing.

Great Food. Great sandwiches, at least the toscano. Real authentic Italian gelato, try the stracciatella or the tiramisu. Great service, everyone was nice and let me try as many samples as I wanted. Parking stinks, but it's well worth the walk.

Awful food. I cannot comment on the ice cream. My parents and I stopped in for a sandwich and some drinks. The bread was soooo dry and there was so little dressing on the sandwich that the watered down drinks were required just to swallow. I did notice that no one else got food- just ice cream, so that was probably my mistake. Don't plan on hanging out there, either- 3 teeny tables cramped in a corner inside and noisy traffic with exhaust fumes are outsdie.

The treat this side of Italy. Silvia's Gelato is unsurpassed in this area. I have yet to experience anything quite like her mango, watermelon, or melon gelato. This is an experience for the taste buds. I highly recommend this place and it's open late for a before bed treat.

8.5- Ridiculously Low Score. Best Ice Cream in Raleigh, w/o a doubt. Silvia's offerings are always flavorful and fresh. I've been to Italy a number of times and Silvia's gelato and sorbetto are the best I've had in the USA. If you prefer preservative-rich frozen lard, buy Food Lion brand.
