Got the best hair color and cut!
by lenlen at Citysearch
I am a regular customer at Salon Blu Brier Creek. I recently came back from an overseas trip and have to go to Salon Blu to have my hair done (and fixed). I called Salon Blu and learned that my usual hairstylist is on vacation. So I asked the receptionist to recommend someone who would do good on colors as I am already tired of my highlighted, high-maintenanced hair. He recommended Jessica. I initially just wanted to have my hair re-colored to my natural color but then as I was consulting with her, I asked her if she can also give me a haircut. My recent haircut was a bad one. During my vacation/trip, I decided to get a haircut in my country as it is really cheap to get one there. Yeah, right! It was cheap alright and my hair just looked so cheap and chopped, too! It looked awful! I've always had layered hair and I know when the cut of the layers is good or bad. This one was really bad!! And so, rush to Salon Blu for a hair fix.... When Jessica finished my color and cut, I went out of that salon so happy that Jessica was recommended to me. I even got my first compliment from another customer while I was paying. She told her husband seated beside her that I have a beautiful hair. Thank you, Jessica! I think I will have her do my hair from now on :-)
- Pros: Nice, friendly hairstylists; salon ambience; good service
Great experience

I visited Salon Blu's Brier Creek location today on a whim. I was in the area, and needed a haircut, and had heard some good things about it. I called them, and they were able to give me an appointment with Felicity immediately. Felicity was very sweet, and did a great job on my cut. She gave a wonderful, relaxing shampoo scalp massage, took her time with the cut, and then blew it out, as well as flat ironed it, which was a treat. Cost was $45, and I found that very reasonable.
I will definitely return, and would highly recommend Felicity.
- Pros: Walk-in appointment, friendly stylist
- Cons: none that I can think of
I adore this place!

I have been seeing Casey at the Falls location for almost 4 years now and as long as she is there, I will never let anyone else touch my hair! The first time I sat in her chair I had an awful, long, plain hairstyle that some clueless stylist had given me at another salon. Casey has given me exactly what I wanted each time. I usually don't do anything different and she is fine with doing exactly what I want. Stylists at Salon Blu do NOT give everyone the same cut and they don't want everyone to "look like them" - as long as you communicate exactly what you want and don't want then they are happy to give it to you and make you look amazing.
- Pros: Friendly desk staff, and my stylist is phenomenal!
Love Tara

Tara is great. She knows exactly what I like. When I walk in She gives me a hug and seems happy to see me. I went in for high lights told her to do what she thinks would look best on me and she did a great job. I love my hair.
- Pros: Everything

Salon Blu is a wonderful experience. I am sooo picky about my hair and have very curly frizzy hair. Tiffany did the best color on my hair I have ever, ever, ever had and she is the sweetest person on the planet and everyone in there is so beautiful and awesome. Recommend highly!
- Pros: Everything
awesome brazillian!!!
by buzzy at Citysearch
i got the most amazing service from jessica at the brier creek location!!! its called a brazillian keratin treatment! it saved my curly, frizzy hair!!!! it takes 100% of the frizz and protects it from the humidity for 3 months! this has been by far the best thing i have ever done for my hair...NO MORE FRIZZZZ! this service is a little pricey but i would recommend this to any one who hates there frizzy curly hair!!!!!! it literally turned my damaged hair into brand new hair...who DOESNT WANT THAT!
- Pros: funky and educated
Insults don't get repeat customers
by kittlen at Citysearch
I went to Salon Blu I believe twice, and after the 2nd time, I decided I would not return. My stylist went on and on about my gray hair, as if she were offended that some of my hair was gray. I don't pay that much money to be insulted.
- Pros: Able to follow directions
- Cons: Constant insults, Way too pricey
STAR STYLISTS
by ALLI at Citysearch
I HAVE BEEN TO BOTH LOCATIONS & HAVE LOVED ALL MY STYLISTS.WHEN I WORKED IN BRIER CREEK, I TOOK MY DESTROYED COLOR JOB FROM SAMUEL COLE SALON TO MATT& CHAUNA &THEY DEVELOPED A SYSTEM TO RESTORE MY HAIRS' STRENGTH.NOW THAT I NO LONGER WORK IN B.C., I HAVE BEEN TO TISCH& LIKE MY PRIOR EXPERIENCES AT SALON BLU, SHE SHARED HER WARMTH& KNOWLEDGE& I LEFT EXTREMELY SATISFIED.AS A WOMAN OF COLOR IT IS HARD TO FIND A SALON WHERE PEOPLE ARE NOT INTIMIDATED BY HAIR THAT IS NOT BLOND. THANK YOU SALON BLU FOR BRANCHING OUT!
- Pros: KNOWLEDGE,WARMTH,PRICE
- Cons: THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH SALON BLUS
Thea does AMAZING highlights
by KS1982 at Citysearch
Even though I had to drive almost 30 minutes, I took a friend's suggestion to let Thea highlight and color my hair.
She was great. She asked what I was looking for and we talked about what I could expect (given the terrible color I had gotten from my last stylist).
I love my color and the cut is great too!. If you are looking for someone with just enough 'edge' she's the one to go to!
- Pros: Great highlights, not too expensive
- Cons: a bit far from my home in Durham
Love Tracey At Salon Blu
by CSMobileUser2 at Citysearch
Tracey at the Brier Creek location is awesome. I attempted to put in a take home haircolor and just about destroyed my hair. When I went to her, she knew exactly how to fix my hair and gave me the best color and haircut ever. She also gave me a treatment that left my hair soft and shiny. I am very happy with the results and I will definetly be back to Salon Blu to see her. Thank you Tracey
The greatest salon in Raleigh
by superawesomefabulous at Citysearch
Salon Blu is seriously the greatest salon in Raleigh, I tried two others when I moved here and Salon Blu is the greatest. I moved here from NYC, so I was used to upscale salons, and Salon Blu is worth the money. Casey and Rachael B. have done my hair and they were amazing. They listened to all of my needs and they used their creative eye to take my hair to a new level. I have never been so pleased. My roommate also gets her hair done at the salon and she went from dark brown to platinum blonde and it looks great. They can give you a classic cut or an edgy punk rock cut. But no matter what, it's great! right on Salon Blu!
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nothing
