Wow was I duped. Though mellow and a fun atmosphere for the most part, sadly the burgers were sub-par to be kind. One reviewer raved about the jalepeno burger, which I tried on that recommendation, must have gotten lucky or you've never had a decent burger before. Mine was spongy, fatty, and seemed like one of those cheapo-pre-fab slabs you get in packets at Wal-Mart. The bun was flat and it tasted like the whole thing had been sitting under a heat lamp for half the day. I'd never go back, and once again Raleigh has let me down with seemingly high reviews for what turns out to be GARBAGE food I wouldn't feed my dog.

  • Pros: Fun, mellow atmosphere and good beer
  • Cons: If you do ONE thing, do it marginally right!

First time there; my son recommended it since he's been to Mojoe's before. Shrum burger was very good. Onion rings were among the best I have ever had. Our experience with the wait staff was very good; asked multiple times if we needed anything. Best to get there between 5-6 at night; after 6 the waiting line starts. Also being downtown, finding parking is an adventure. Definitely will go back again.

  • Pros: Great burgers for the price
  • Cons: Finding parking nearby

Waitstaff is horrible...If they mess up your order, they'll try to make YOU feel bad. Management makes excuses for the bad service by saying, "alot of people like they're attitude." Burgers aren't even worth the BS.

  • Pros: The exit sign
  • Cons: Gross waitstaff and burgers

We went there for lunch today, and were very excited about burgers for lunch. Sitting on the patio was very nice and our server was sweet. Our burgers while sounding yummy, tasted like they were pre-formed frozen patties. The Smush burger was lite on the toppings (sauteed mushrooms and onions) and the Jack Daniels BBQ burger tasted like the bbq sauce had been poured directly out of a bottle. Nothing seemed fresh or homeade as one may expect from a place claiming to be a burger joint. The beer battered onion rings were very good, but I am pretty sure they were frozen as well. All in all we will bot be returning. If you are craving burgers, go to Five Guys its 110% better!

  • Pros: Nice location
  • Cons: Bad food

Love the atmosphere, this place should be one of those small places that server "the best". I've been there three times in two years and always wonder why a "Burger Joint" has average burgers. The buns were obviously bought at the grocery store and not even fresh. The burger meat was either a really dry grind or something bought frozen wholesale. I love the idea of a "burger joint" and hoped this would be weekly stop but I'm wondering if they are so attached to the beer revenue the food quality really doesn't matter.

  • Pros: Not a Chain
  • Cons: Hamburgers

Oh, My Gosh. I loved this place. The food, service, and prices were great. It's an ideal place for students or adults that don't want to spend to much. The wings were great and it was one of the best dates I have ever been on. This one of the best resturants's I've ever been to.

  • Pros: great atmosphere
  • Cons: it was hot outside

Although the seating outside is decent, I was appalled at how rude the waitstaff and the manager was to their customers. After waiting for 30 minutes on two single burgers, I simply asked the waitress if our food was almost ready. She replied in a very short manner, "I put it in." Then after an hour of waiting on our food, I asked her again what was going on, because a group had come in after us and they were nearly finished with their meal. She said, "Oh I forgot to put in your order," I replied "Why did you tell me you put it in before," and she said "Look I am busy and I don't have time for you." From there another waiter came and said he could make my girlfriend and I leave for being rude. I left!!! MAD!! and on top of that I never received an apology from anyone at Mojoes. I will never go back regardless of how good the food is, because their customer service is HORRIBLE!!

  • Pros: alright atmosphere
  • Cons: very poor service

I live about mile from Mojoe's and I find myself there with regularity. It's a great place to sit down, enjoy a beer and eat some comfort food in a relatively laid-back setting. The veggie burger is great and they will make it in the style of most any of their specialty burgers - I recommend the Smush (Mushroom 'n' Swiss) and the Inferno (Jalapenos and Pepper Jack) or just create your own (the slaw is wonderful). The fries are usually done right and the onion rings are terrific. The staff is mostly friendly and upbeat and I can't recall ever waiting too long for my food. I wish Glenwood South had a lot more places like this and less of the gross "glitz and glamour" scene that's currently mucking it up. Oh, and did I mention that they're open late? Appreciated.

  • Pros: super veggie burger

I'm disappointed at this supposed "great burger place" is. The premade burgers, overdone to a point of having no taste, made for a queasy day and night. Now, in fairness, I understand there's a law in NC that you have to cook burgers past medium-well. Still, this wasn't good. Special lowlights? Watching the waitress repeatedly lift the bun with her fingers to see what's on there to make sure she's giving the right burger to the right person. Really good onion rings though.

  • Pros: Onion rings
  • Cons: The burgers
