NOFO @ the pig
by Relevant Eats at Citysearch
In my opinion, NOFO is Raleigh’s indie version of the Cracker Barrel. I sat amongst an assortment of pig- oddities while eating a sincerely delicious brunch. Let me offer an explanation for the pig oddities-the location is a renovated Piggly Wiggly Grocery. The brunch menu (sat & sun) is most notable with its variety of egg specialties (benedicts, omelettes, scrambles…oh my.) I ordered the Big Bear Scramble and it was tasty! The biscuits are a buttery reminder of one’s granny & their jams are made in house…I sampled strawberry and it was wonderful. My brunch-mates’ plates all looked scrumptious and I heard no complaints. The lunch and dinner entrées are not alluring; I truly doubt I’ll ever visit NOFO past noon. For a hearty, comforting weekend brunch, head over to NOFO.
Delicious!

I have eaten at Nofo for lunch, brunch and dinner at least 30 times now. The food is always amazing and the staff is very friendly and attentive! The fried green tomatoes, pimento cheese, eggs benedict and pork tenderloin are all a must!!!
- Pros: Great food, Great staff, Fun atmosphere
- Cons: Parking, Often run out of some things (esp at night)
Great Sunday Brunch
by abfreeman at Citysearch
This past Sunday was our first trip and we were thrilled with our experience. We shopped upstairs in the gift shop while we waited for a table, about 10 minutes. We were seated upstairs, which gives you a great overall view (I recommend you request upstairs). Our waiter had a great personality, made good suggestions & checked on us often. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries with dipping sauce, the biscuits and the chicken wrap. All four of us were very pleased with the staff and the food. We will definitely go back soon.
- Pros: Atmosphere, Waiter, Food
- Cons: Parking
Best Brunch in Raleigh!
by ncstate99 at Citysearch
I have been here at least ten times and every time it is amazing. The country breakfast is what i get because it has a wide variety of food. You get two eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and biscuits, which always fills me to that perfect amount. How cool is it that it is in an old piggly wiggly? There is a gift shop that has unique little gifts, too. I suggest breakfast because it can be for anyone, while dinner can be more "gourmet". For instance i got catfish over spinach with a spice sauce. ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES EVER!
- Pros: AMAZING FOOD, food not to pricey, good service
- Cons: parking
Amazing Brunch - Iffy Service
by jenniferyan at Citysearch
Nofo has, without question, the best brunch in the Triangle. The french toast is soft and fluffy, and the Coastal Benedict is absolutely perfect. I don't like bloody marys, but my boyfriend says theirs are the best, and the mimosas are great too. However, the service ranges from alright to downright awful. We have sat at both the bar and the tables, and there is a 50/50 chance as to whether or not your server will realize that you're sitting there within 5 or 10 minutes. However, because the food is so amazing, I'll take the bad with the good. You'll still see me there at least a weekend a month.
- Pros: Brunch menu, atmosphere, drinks
- Cons: Service
Cozy and Fun

Man, my first visit to NOFO at the Pig was awsome! There is this cool gift store upstairs with the cutest deli you have ever seen, the restaurant is down stairs. It was saturday night and we were seated very quickly with frindly service. The decor was eye catching. We were served bread as an appetizer with dip that had a hint of vinegar in it, that was lovely. I ordered the shrimp and grits, and fell in love instantly. It was garlic and mushrooms, bacon, shrimp and grits. I cannot stop thinking about it. I would highly recommend eating here, for the great food, great service, and great atmosphere! S

we visited here on a friday night thinking we would have a long wait. however, we were in luck because we were seated after only waiting for 10 minutes. our waitress was so sweet and knew the menu well. the food came out pretty quickly and the wine was delicious! not to mention the cute little store upstairs!
- Pros: good food, excellent service, great atmosphere
- Cons: parking
First experience was quite good!

A coworker and I went to Nofo for lunch today. She had been there before and said the food was delicious, as did another friend of mine. I decided I was in a greasy kind of mood and ordered the 1/2 lb burger with harvarti with a side of cheddar mac. The burger was delicious! Juicy and yummy! The perfect burger for the perfect burger kind of day! When I ordered the cheddar mac, I assumed it would've been mac n cheese. I was so looking forward to mac n cheese! Nope, turns out it's a macaroni pasta salad with olives, cheddar, and some peppers cut up. It actually wasn't bad, but not what I was expecting, so don't get the cheddar mac if you want mac n cheese! :) Our waitress was a little flighty and had no personality, but was attentive and polite. The decor is very bright and fun and open. I'd definitely recommend visiting the gift shop upstairs. They have some really cool stuff and some really delicious looking desserts! I'd definitely go back, but try something a little more risque next time.
- Pros: Great burger! Really great menu! Cute decor!
- Cons: Waitstaff bored me, parking is a pain in the tuckus!
Food is horrible!

I have eaten at NOFO two times now, the first time wasn't that good, however, I figured I would give it a second chance. I ate there today and my meal was anything but good! Me and my friend each ordered different things and we both only ate a bite of our entree. When the waiter came he asked if we were done and took our plates, not even asking if we enjoyed our meal. (maybe it was so obvious because we didn't eat anything, however, most other restaurants would then ask if the food was good and get feedback from the customer). I would strongly recommend to find another place to eat in the Raleigh area.
P.S. My friend ordered a burger.......How can you mess that up?
