Whose Idea Was it to Change the Recipe? by Margaret K. at InsiderPages
Contributor at Insider Pages
We love, love, loved their she crab soup. Then we order our favorite soup and what is this? They have changed the recipe? I don't know why some places think they have to tweak things. They should have left well enough alone. The food is usually very good, the service varies a lot. We have been kept waiting for extraordinary amounts of time when we had reservations.
Great atmosphere and food

The atmosphere is great. Very good menu and good, reasonably priced food.
Pros: Food, atmosphere, price
Cons: A little to dark for me
The atmosphere was great and the lunch prices were unbelievable

I went to Bogart?s yesterday with some friends and co-workers. The food was absolutely amazing, and because I ordered off of their lunch specials it was only $6! It?s been a really long time since I?ve had a meal that good for such a great price.
- Pros: Great food, Great Prices
Great Food, Service & Atmosphere
by jbird12321 at Citysearch
I was in Raleigh last week on business and happened to have the opportunity to dine at Bogart's. The experience was incredible. The service from the time my party and I walked in the door to the time we left was impecable. We actually took a table on the patio so we could enjoy a couple of cigars and enjoyed the live music provided by Kyle and Eric. I had the Filet which was soft as butter and I highly recommend the Sweet Potatoes as a side, I have got to get that recipe. I look forward to dining here again when I am back in town!
Avoid this place

Some friends of mine and I tried to go here on a Sat. night and we were denied because my friend's jeans were too long. They weren't too baggy or hung off of his butt, they were just too long. Doesn't make much sense. I understand that certain dress codes have to be enforced, like no tank tops, or clothes must be worn appropriately, but if jeans are just a little too long, then who the hell cares. I wish people would remember where we live. It's Raleigh, NC for God's sake. This isn't some thriving metropolis where some of the best bars and restaurants are found. I don't think I'll spend another dime in this place. It's not that fun, the staff is not that great, the patrons are usually frat boys and their pain in the butt girlfriends, and they usually have a crappy cover band that plays the same boring songs every time.
Bogart?s Sunday Brunch
by sboy60 at Citysearch
My friend has been talking about the Bogart?s Sunday brunch for years now, and I finally had the opportunity to go. They have live jazz music and stations for freshly cooked waffles, omelets, pancakes, and French toast! I tried a veggie omelet and Peanut butter and banana pancakes, which were amazing. I ended up being too full to try the chocolate fondue fountain but did manage to make room for a mimosa from their beverage station, and that was equally satisfying.
- Pros: Variety - there was something for everyone
Great Martini's, great food!
by JessicaKolman at Citysearch
My husband and I have gone to this place a few times. We usually go there on special occasions. I have never had a problem with it. The food is excellent, service is awesome, ambiance is lovely. The pricing is a little steep, but it's well worth it.
I especially enjoy the martini's. They have such a variety, you'll never get bored.
- Pros: Excellent Martinis, Great Food, Great Service.
- Cons: none

I wasn't too impressed by this place. The food was average, not great not bad. The atmosphere was great, I suppose this is what you are actually paying for.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Average Food
Good Brunch, Cold Food
by waterdude at Citysearch
Went to the Brunch on October 28, 2007 right as they opened at 10:30 AM. The food selection was very good. The culinary balence of each item was very well done. Good Shrimp and Grits, great Mac and Cheese, and great dessert selection.
The only problem was that the ready to eat selections (The items served in the buffet trays) were all room temperature. This included the bacon, shrimp and grits, the dessert chocolate, the jambellia, etc. Call me crazy, but I kinda expect my warm food to be warm.
I would give the restaurants buffet a 4 star, but the lack of warm food was disturbing, thus 2 stars.
Better Everytime

This place gets better everytime we go. My finance' took me here for our first date 4 years ago. I love all the Rocky Top Hospitailty restarauants. You guys are awesome. We went Satruday night and they turned the night around for us. The bartenders have seen us in there before and they always remember us. I had been denied service in another location in Raleigh Saturday night so we went to Bogart's where the bartenders knew I was over 21. The martini selection is awesome and the best in Raleigh. Keep up the good work! We will always be back!
- Pros: Martini's!
- Cons: Can't think of a thing.
