Needs serious improvement. by Tom H. at InsiderPages

Our stay here in 06/08 started out terribly and never stopped until we checked out: First our room was not ready upon check-in. We returned an hour later and were given a room, opened the door to the room and it was like a blast furnace hitting you in the face! Either on accident, or to be funny, staff had set the a/c wall unit to heat and high fan. The heat was on full blast, in NC in June, for who knows how long. The room was unbearable and we waited in the hall for about 15 minutes for it to cool down. It was then we noticed there was only one bed in the room, despite having booked two. I called the front desk and Marie told me I'd have to pay an additional fee for 2 beds, despite my printed reservation showing that I had indeed already reserved and paid for 2 beds. Her attitude made it clear that she was not interested in resolving the situation. Further, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was completely non-operational, making a steam sauna out of the entire suite whenever anyone showered. The bathroom sink leaked profusely, making a puddle on the bathroom floor. Both the blanket on the bed, the spare in the closet, and a pillow case had multiple cigarette burns. And our room offered no shampoo, no soap, and one packet of coffee to last for 3 days. When I asked the front desk for more supplies, they promised to send them up... big surprise, they never came. I would absolutely not stay at this hotel again.
