Cliche, passe, hillbilly, small town diner desperately masquerading
by 7figures at Citysearch
unfashionable, poor service, rude staff, low quality food, amateur wine list, limited stocked bar, incredibly embarrassing interior decor, 30 years out of date ambience all describe the rather disappointing, but expected experience in this basement, low class diner. They desperately want to be sophisticated, but apparently the powers that be have no clue about the business or that their competition is far outweighing them. Senior Citizen cafeteria's have more style and class. it is full of small town used car salesmen that still think it fashionable to wear pleated khakis, chain bracelets and pinky rings. Their 1950's TV evangelist bad hair cuts match the pathetic desperation of the Tonya's, Sonya's, Amanda's, Dawn's, etc. that hinge to the bar in their Dress Barn fashion, hoping to get lucky and find some local gentry to treat them like the trailer trash they are.
Save yourself time and trouble... avoid this place like the plague, unless you really enjoyed being in a dark, poorly lit, overpriced, bad quality, amateur service, country pretending to be middle class urban class.
- Pros: double doors to exit quickly
- Cons: the building
Excellent place to entertain friends, family, or business
by shep402 at Citysearch
We arrived on time for our reservation and were sat immediately. The wait staff was friendly, professional, and made use feel at ease. The calamari, shrimp cocktail were everything we expected. The filet was cook to perfection, and the side dishes were seasoned well.
- Pros: The food, the wait staff, the chef (Rob) are fantastic
- Cons: The price is at the higher end
A disappointing expericne

This was our second experience at Sullivan's and I must admit I was disappointed. We were looking forward to a nice evening with good food and company based on our previous experience. However, we were quite disappointed. We stared with Lobster Bisque which was mediocre at best. The French Onion Soup was good and the Ahi Tuna appetizer was nicely done except there was no warning about the strong wasabi sauce on which it was plated. My lamb chops were done to perfection however, the Vesuvio chicken was over-cooked and too dry. Iceberg wedge was average, bread was served hot and was good. Champagne could have been colder. We were served a complimentary raspberry souffle as we were celebrating a birthday. However, it was meant for all to share and no one liked raspberry but me. It would have been better if they had alerted us so we they could have prepared something for all to enjoy. However, the absolute worst part of the evening was the music. It was too techno and roboto. At times I felt like I was in Karachi Pakistan. It was absolutely awful and clearly not appropriate for that kind of atmosphere. And, the appropriate dress on the website was business casual.....I don't consider men in flip flops and shorts to be business casual. We won't be going back and we definitely will not be recommending Sullivan's to our friends and business associates.
- Pros: Great lamb chops and desserts
- Cons: Awful dinner music

Fine Dining?
by YouShouldKnowToo at Citysearch
First and foremost, the General Manager, or so he seemed, at this location is a walking sexual harrassment "case" waiting to happen. I honestly do not want to know what he was saying to some of the cocktail waitresses and be on the look out if you decide to wear a dress showing any skin. He made my skin crawl. Secondly, as a woman, I find the cocktail waitresses offensive. A fine dining establishment should not have girls in skirts that cannot cover their "cheeks" and shirts that expose things a bra should be covering. Typically that doesn't come with a $17 glass of Champagne, it comes with a "shooter." What exactly are you selling at this restaurant? Thirdly, whoever the woman manager is with the dark hair really needs a different job. Her suit did not even fit her, she looked unkept and was being obviously rude to her staff members. She just looked visibly upset about life in general. It was as if she had to force the fake smile she gave everyone at my table as she acted like she cared how our night was. How uncomfortable. To me this place has no class. It is truly sad. I am new to the area, and this is not a place I will be revisiting. It is a shame because the filet was perfect.
- Pros: Select Food Items.
- Cons: No Class.
All Business

I took a few potential clients to Sullivan's a few nights ago. We had a wonderful time and made a huge impression on them. The staff was not only friendly and prompt, they were also fun and energetic. The meal is not cheap, but you should know that going in to the meal. The price I paid for great food, wine, and service was well worth it. I will be returning often to dine with clients, friends, and family. For those of you who fear the price, there is a sepereate menu that is much easier on the wallet. Check it out, you will not be let down.
- Pros: Great for entertaining
- Cons: So much food!
Good food..a bit pricey though
by preachthetruth at Citysearch
My husband and I were having a night on the town sans the kids and decided to treat ourselves. The atmosphere was lovely and lively although the entrance looks like the hallway from a 70 yr old middle school. But once you got into the restaurant it was quite warm and beautiful. The service was quick and attentive. My husband ordered the salmon and ate every last bite. I had the filet and was impressed with the flavor and tenderness. My only real complaint was that the sides were an additional charge and this fact was not pointed out by our server. He just asked what side we wanted, just like they would anywhere else except sides are normally included in the price of the meal. While they were large and better than average taste it was pretentious.
- Pros: Good Food
- Cons: too pricey for what you get
Extreamly disapointed

I have to say >> I am quiet disappointed!
We had reservations and when we arrived were told that it would just be a few minutes - so we decided to to wait at the bar... after some time we inquired again to find that they had forgotten us!
Our waiter appeared very friendly, unfortunately we only saw him when he took our orders and then again when he came to collect the check!!!
Now as far as the food ... we ordered Steak & baked Potatoes - Both Steaks were "burned" and the baked Potatoes was only luke warm! Furthermore the young man that brought us our food did not have enough butter etc. to dress the Potatoes!
The entire time no one came by and checked on us - to see if we maybe needed anything else - there was no sign of the waiter that initially had taken our order.
I am not sure if by it being the holiday season I should overlook this - however on the other side for a $100.00 dinner I expect only the best food and the best service - which was obviously not provided here!
Very disappointed

I was very disappointed with the food at Sullivans. The appetizers we had were excellent - crab and artichoke dip with toast points and cold shrimp with cocktail sauce. However, the steak I had was the same quality I'd expect at Golden Corral - and on the rare occasion I have to eat at Golden Corral, I don't eat their steaks. My steak was full of fat and way too salty. Our side dishes were mushroom caps, mashed potatoes, and green beans. I am a person who uses lots of salt, but the mushrooms were too salty to eat. The mashed potatoes were good, but nothing special. The green beans were barely warm and not cooked. I don't like overcooked veggies, but our beans were flat out not cooked at all. If you're looking for a nice dinner out, I recommend Angus Barn or Ruths Chris instead of Sullivans.
Great food, good service, expensive

Very nive atmosphere. Very good service. THe food was great. Everything is a la carte. This makes the meal extremely expensive.
- Pros: atmosphere, location, food, service

Wow you are quite an angry individual. Sullivans is fantastic, while I agree with the wine list leaving more to be desired, you are quite the angry camper and very judgemental on others.

Sounds like a typical rude classless yank that would probably be better off going back home.
