Mexican at its finest. Quite a few things makes this place different than your run of the mill mexican joint. All of which are great. Table side Guacamole is nothing new but done perfectly here. Normal place would have cheese dip this place throws hunks of shrimp in theirs, plus plenty of non traditional menu items full of flavor. The must have at this place is their Cucumber Margarita, these margaritas have got to be the best way to eat your vegetables!

Dissappointed. Went to the San Jose for a pre-wedding dinner with a large group. This had been pre-arranged with the management however, you'd never know it. We were all left to find our own tables. Many of us had to sit at the bar. I was lucky enough to be served one drink, had to order for my husband b/c he was completely ignored. My son never did get served so he left. I can't comment on the food b/c I was never offered any. I was never offered a second drink and had to beg to pay for the two we did have. Frankly, I only did that so the bride and groom wouldn't get stuck with our check. San Jose really dropped the ball and apparently their bartenders don't know how to take care of the customers sitting right in front of them. Would not recommend, would never go back.

Well..... I was excited for the place to open. I am from San Jose, California where Mexican food is ALL THAT. This place is nice inside, although the structure is a bit confusing. It seems a bit disorganized, but they are new so that's okay. It was packed which was wonderful for them, but there was no seating area for waiting customers. My family was seated by the bar at the back door. The staff had to use the back door constantly. It was cold out, so every time the door opened, we got a gust of cold air. NOT OK. Someone finally took our order after about 30 minutes. It took two hours for it to arrive. My kids fell asleep at the table. The bartender offered his apologies and a free margarita for my boyfriend and I. The food finally came and the order was wrong. When the order came back correct, we were disappointed. There was no flavor in any of the dishes. The presentation was not appealing.

I am hoping that this place is open to feedback and is willing to implement the necessary changes to make this a wonderful place to eat. It is soooo close to my house and I LOVE Mexican food!!!

I wish San Jose Mexican Restaurant the best of luck and I am confident that things will improve soon!

Raleigh's Best Mexican Restaurant!. This restaurant is wonderful! The food is really great, the staff is very cool, and the atmosphere welcoming! I plan on going back regularly!

BEST MEXICAN EVER!!!!!. I was absolutely amazed by how good the food is!!!! The place has only been open two days and I have been there twice! Everyone one at work loves it too. The service is awesome as well. My all time favorite restaurant ever. Thinking about going back today but I don't want the staff to think I am stalking them. Love, love, LOVE!!!!!!!

By the way.... their refried beans are like a creamy heaven in my mouth. Mmmm....... :-)

Great Food, Great Service. Fabulous food, great service! I was pleasantly surprised since they had only been open a couple of days.
