The Edwards Mill Grill is a disgusting dump. Under no circumstances would I ever eat there again. I was going to meet up with a small group of acquaintances for an event in that general area, and we planned to go eat afterwards. I did a quick web search for restaurants in that area, and the Edwards Mill Grill came up and had a very good user rating. Well, this is obviously a case where employees and family members have gone on-line and given a place positive reviews, because there just isn’t any other way that this dump could ever get positive reviews. I ordered a burger and a salad, with blue cheese dressing. The quality of the salad itself was unusually good, i.e., fresh, green lettuce. But the dressing was watery and didn’t really taste at all like blue cheese. And it got worse when the burger came. When I order a burger in a restaurant, I expect the texture to resemble what you get if you go to a local supermarket and buy some ground beef at the meat counter, i.e., beef that has been freshly ground there in the store by the butcher. What I do not expect, and will never tolerate, is a patty of something that has been so thoroughly ground that it resembles more of a paste of some sort, that has been reconstituted into a patty. I know that you know what I’m talking about, because this kind of ground meat is not uncommon in cheap restaurants. And it tastes a lot like beef, but not completely like beef, and it is just disgusting. I wasn’t able to finish eating it, and the reason is partly that I was getting sick. It was disgusting. If I had not been with a group, I would have walked out as soon as they brought that burger. But when you are with a group, you can’t do that. When I give a restaurant my business, I do not think that I should be rewarded by having stomach cramps and gas for the next two or three days. I would never, ever eat at this dump again.
Terrific place. Edwards Mill is terrific. Their service and food are always great, and the prices are very affordable. I have been there many times, during business lunches, for a quick after-work drink, a stolen few hours out with my wife without the kids, or on a Saturday afternoon with the kids. The burgers and sandwiches are excellent, and I really enjoy the cajun salmon salad. As well, the filet mignon is amazing and always cooked correctly to order. Unlike many of my experiences at other restaurants, they have never once disappointed me with service or food. I have always been really pleased, and the staff there is very nice.
Eeesh.
I am very disappointed with this place. A co-worker and I ate here last week and both left very underwhelmed.
I had the Black Jack Chicken sandwich. I can honestly say that I have never had such a terrible chicken sandwich before in my life.
The chicken was a super thin fillet of what used to be a fillet of a chicken breast. Yes, it was that ridiculously thin and small.
It also came out extremely dry. I started to send it back, however my lunch break was winding down and I had to get back.
The waffle fries were good though. That was about all I had. This place has your basic American bar food and to he fair, I wasn't expecting much going in. It is what it is, ya know?
The fact that they failed so miserably on cooking a piece of chicken, to me, speaks volumes about this place. I mean really...a chicken sandwich and a salad are two things a restaurant should NEVER mess up. Pretty basic if you ask me.
The bar area was cool though and seems like it would be a neat "bar around the corner" to watch games. Aside from that, make sure you EAT BEFORE you come here.
My co-worker had the exact same thing and had the same experience. We both gave a lot of crap to the person in our office who recommended the place. I haven't spoken to that person since. T
he sandwich, soda & tip came to a whopping $14.00 of total and utter FAIL.
Absolute favorite!. We live off of Duraleigh and have made Edward's Mill one of our regular bars.It is a comfortable, chill place to go for watching games or just hanging out They have a a friendly staff. And there food is delicious! We usually stick to appetizers or sandwiches. You can't beat their spinach and artichoke dip and they have an updated menu with sliders which are to die for! Great sandwiches and waffle fries. And always a good drink special. Such a fun place to go, I really recommend it! Hope everyone has as good of a time as we have!
you wont like this place if you have any taste. This place wreaks of cigarette smoke in the bar area there is no escaping it. You will smell like an ashtray when you leave - even if you just stay for 1 beer. The only thing good on the menu are the black bean nachos which are pretty good and for 1 person get the 1/2 size and you still wont finish them. Outdoors on the patio, there are plenty of no smoking signs that customers disregard and the staff does not enforce. Its too bad that this place is close to home and would go there more often but its really really bad food and atmosphere. I cannot recommend this place to anyone and always drive further to get to a better spot.

Refused to take a reservation for a Tuesday Lunch Group. I called to make a Tuesday afternoon reservation for 9 adults and nine infants (not all needing highchairs since some are still in infant carriers) and although they advertise accomidating large groups, the manager simply denied me, saying he did not have room for all of us.
my favourite watering hole. ... and the food's not bad either. Actually the food is great- especially the buffalo chicken. I've never had bad food here. I like the bar atmosphere but for those that don't they have restaurant seating on the other side of the building. It's fun to dine outside in the summer when they light the tiki torches. I love to go on Friday nights when they have quite a variety of draft beers on special.
Great Food and Service.
I dine at this restaurant at least once a week. The buffalo chicken wings are great. The Baby Back Ribs are the best in town and anywhere else. They make their own salad dressings and they are all great, but the blue cheese dressing is to die for. They have great service. The staff is very nice and attend to very quickly. Your food is brought out very quickly and is always hot and delicious. I would recommend this place to everyone. Please try the
ribs, you want ever need to go anywhere else.
