I am a homeowner in a community managed by Talis and their attention to detail has been a blessing. Before buying property in an HOA managed community, I heard a lot of horror stories from friends who were managed by other companies about paying a ton of money for a lot of nothing. Talis is a large company but never makes you feel that way as a customer, I have always received attentive and polite service and I appreciate them staying on top of tenants with the sanitation standards of Boo Radley. Thank you for keeping my community looking beautiful, Talis!
I have been managing my residential properties myself for the past couple of years and I got tired of dealing with the tenants. Talis Management is a wonderful company and I am satisfied with the service. Would recommend! They are a large operation and do provide individual attention unlike other larger companies. Many of the employees I have worked with have all been great.
Highly Unrecommended. Do not has this group manage your home owners. Excessive fees, do nothing to manage the community, and never reply to your inquires. The only way to get them to do anything is to file a BBB complaint.
With over 200 homes in our community, they charge us $250 per year. A community across from us has 160 homes, $140 per year HOA fees, and they have many more amenities! Such as a pool, playground, not to mention beautiful landscape upkeep.
Where is the excess money going? Into Talis Mangement's pocket!
Look elsewhere, and avoid buying a home with their name on the HOA. Terrible company.
P.S. Look through all the reviews, the positive ones are definitely left by employees who were most likely forced to leave a review. These people do not know the very definition of customer service.
Outstanding Company!! Great for Homeowners!! For the past 18 months, they've done excellent at managing my house! I'm a homeowner who is working overseas and Talis has never caused me any problems whatsoever. They went way above and beyond, helping me with any questions I may have and very quickly. Customer Service is a big point for me as a homeowner. Whenever I've contacted them about various repair items or billing questions they have been very quick to respond. Plus, there are some perks I've noticed that the Talis team do that other property management companies don't. This really protects you as a homeowner. All the statements are online so it is easy to check on things remotely. All business can be managed with minimum time and hassle. Overall, I've had a great experience with them and highly recommend for anyone. Peggy is always a pleasure.
I am a very good homeowner (owned my home for more than 5 years) and takes care of my home. This company gets worse and worse every year. Last year my neighbor was talking about the letters they were receiving and now I am receiving these absurd letters. Who do we report the out of control HOA such as Talis Management Group to -BBB? Someone needs to police them.
Highly Recommend Talis - Most of these comments are probably from residents that violate the covenants--don't cut their grass, leave trash cans outside their garage door, have junk cars in the driveway, then lash out at the HOA when they get called on it. Talis has been wonderful cleaning up our neighborhood, commercial vehicles are gone (beer trucks and broken down old limosines lingered for months prior to Talis). Grass is being cut, they have been very proactive in cleaning up our neighborhood, so if that is what you don't like, then move to the country, but don't bash the great job Talis is doing. They have made more of a positive impact in one year of managing our community than the past six under the old management company. And yes, they DO return calls promptly.
Wonderful Company! The Talis managers are the best around, professional and dedicated, they answer their phones and are in our community often. We have had Talis managing our community for many years and would not have anyone else, thank you from Brittany Woods!
Stuck with the worst HOA company! – From what I have heard, they are run by Toll Brothers so if you live in a Toll community it should come as no surprise this is who they use as their "community management".
That said, if given the choice I would never use them as an HOA company. If in the business I would never use them.
Unfortunately for us we don't have that choice right now.
Their website is archaic and never works (except to collect payment, shocker!), they need to be emailed several times to get a reaction- which often doesn't equate to action, no management seems to be in place, etc.
My big complaint is you aren't paying us to supervise the maintenance that needs to be done, we are paying you to do that... So PLEASE represent the mission we pay you oh too well to do!
