DO NOT USE THE CATERING DEPARATMENT.
I USUALLY GO TO HARRIS TEETER FOR MY CATERING NEEDS BUT DECIDED TO GO TO KROGER FOR AN IMPORTANT EVENT. BIG MISTAKE!!!
After viewing the online catering menu, I called andplaced my order for two medium trays of Deviled Eggs at the Krogers on Creedmoor Rd. I assumed this would be a very simple order with no problem, so I made arrangements to pick up the order 2 hours before the event.
Upon picking up my order, I was extremely surprised to find that the order given to me was NOT CREAMY deviled eggs as pictured on the company website, but four dozen BOILED EGGS CUT IN HALF WITH PAPRIKA SPINKLED ON THEM!!!
I was informed by the manager that "this is the way we do them, and he could NOT HELP ME FURTHER" If "this is the way " that Kroger makes deviled eggs, the website needs to be corrected to say "BOILED EGGS SLICED IN HALF AND PLACED ON A TRAY".
The website catering menu was misleading and provided a TREMENDOUS DIFFICULTY on me 2 hours before the event.
HENCE, I WENT TO HARRIS TEETER WHERE THE CATERING DEPART. WHIPPED UP 4 DOZEN CORRECTLY MADE DEVILED EGGS IN 20 MINUTES!!
This is about misleading information, a huge inconvenience and no proper assistance from the very inept store manager.
I WILL NOT use KROGER Catering again, and will be sure to tell me friends to go else where. Time is money and using Kroger Catering was a very big waste of my time.
Huge improvement AND a discount on gasoline!!!.
Since I wrote the review below, Kroger Pharmacy service has improved tremendously. Kroger also has great prices and offers a discount on gasoline with purchase -- I save $2 per fill-up. Thanks Kroger!
Pharmancy staff invariably make customers wait even if there's no one else being served. Typically this about 10 min, apparently just to establish that the pharmacy staff are more important than customers. I try to choose a time, like mid-afternoon or early morning when there are no other customers in sight -- always with the same result. These people apparently have all the business they can handle (or want...)
Supermarket chain offers patrons well-stocked shelves of groceries and household products.. The Kroger Co. was founded in 1883 Ohio, by Bernard Henry Kroger. Since then the chain has expanded throughout much of the Southeast, acquiring several other grocery brands. Today, Kroger stores offer a wide variety of items, ranging from fruits, vegetables and meats to dairy, fresh-baked goods, housewares, beer and wine, books, magazines and flowers. Most locations also have a pharmacy and photo lab.
