I was completely anticipating a "denial of liability" by the carwash staff. I was totally gearing up for a confrontation as the manager, Bill Gabello headed over. He stunned me by immediately saying they would order the new wiper, call me when it came in, and install it. Within the week Bill had done exactly that. And because he had shown such exemplar customer service, I tried to at least pay him for the part but he absolutely declinede. Mr. Gabello showed great integrity and I will forever be a Bunkey's customer.
Go anywhere but here. I have visited so many car wash places throughout Raleigh, Durham, Cary, etc....for the past 20 years. This is absolutely the worst place of them all. They all act as if their arms are broken and cannot wipe your car down. They do not care about their job or getting u2 come back as a return customer. Hopefully they go out of business b/f anyone else loses their hard earned $ on this joke of a place.
good value wash. Car wash tends to be expensive but if $8.00 you pay gets you very clean car with out soap spots and is wipe down through door jams it is worth every penny.
worth every visit. I am not a frequent surfer of this site, however I felt compelled to comment based on some of the previous reviews. I have been a loyal customer to this location for over 10 years with multiple vehicles. Over those years the customer service and attention to detail with the cleaning my vehicles has been the best in town. I have tried more than my share of vehicle carwash sites in the area and not one has been able to justify the cost, except for the service I get here on Glenwood. I can understand that some may have a bad experience at times, but always consider re-challenging yourself and the people involved in the mistake. Most times, satisfaction will be accomplished.
Bunkey's Car Wash Experience. I just left Bunkey's for the 2nd time today. I went to the one at 6450 Glenwood Ave. I went earlier this morning to take my new car after the snow to have it washed and cleaned. It is a 2011 Kia Soul (small car). Paid $23.00 plus tip to have the Appearance Pkg. done. Got in the car and drove off. Got to my next stop and went to put something in the back seat only to notice that they had not even got the footprint marks from shoes or mud that had gotten on the back of the drivers and passengers seats as people had gotten into my car. I called and told the guy that it was not clean, he asked to please bring it back and he would take care of it. I did. Only to have another guy walk with me out to the car and look at the dirty back seats and say "sorry but we don't wipe out the backs and get this off, only the front console and the dash" "if you had gotten the premium pkg. we would do that". I said for $23.00 you don't wipe off the seats, he said no only the console and dash. I said you have got to be kidding me....he said with a sassy little tone..."I can take a towel and wipe it off for you", I said no thanks. I will take care of that myself. I have been going to Bunkey's for quite awhile and always loved giving their Christmas gift pkgs away as gifts....but I assure you I will NOT be going back to a Bunkey's. I will find someone else who needs and wants the money a little more and will at least wipe the seats off. Sure wish I had the home office's address to write to the customer service dept. anyone out there have that address?
Was a loyal customer.
For the last two years I have frequently been a customer of Bunkey's.I have experienced solid customer service and decent results. At least enough to keep us going back frequently.
I visited today to get a brand new vehicle washed after several days of rain. I experienced great customer service from Troy upon my arrival. However, from there on out, it was the worst display of customer service i have ever experienced in the country. The gentleman washing my car spraid lemon/lime air freshener in the carpets (brand new car) against my desires. He continued to spray windex throughout the interior when he said it was water.
When I went to find the manager, the gentleman snapped at me. Once the manager came to the situation, he was worse (Ryan). His sarchasm was maniacal. He never once apologized, just was rude and extremely unprofessional.
I inquired with the clerk on the inside how i could contact the owners of Bunkey's and she would not provide me the information.
Our two cars will not return to this location and I am sure my brand new truck will be just lovely with it's awful lemon/lime scent all in the carpets.
Solely based on the terrible service leadership of Ryan, i will not return to Bunkey's.
the cleanest car in town. my car never looked so good .they did a nice job inside and out .and the people that work there no there job.i will go back once a week. thank you so much BUNKEY"S in raleigh
Not a good wash.
I went to Bunkey's in Raleigh during my lunch break because it is the only car wash close to my office. It took about 30 mins which was not terrible considering the number of people ahead of me. I paid $14 for the basic car wash and an extra $4 to wash the wheels.
The car wash just was not good enough for $18. They did not completely dry my car off, which left some water marks on the outside. They did not dry around where the trunk seals at all, which meant water ran down the back of the car after I drove away. They also left behind lint on the outside of the car from the towels. I watched them vacuum the car, bascially just pushing the hose around for a few seconds, hardly enough time to really do anything.
I noticed little places where dirt remained, like around the side mirrors. Also, they didn't really wipe down the inside that well, not getting into the cup holders and such. I think the employees there are just rushed to get people through as quickly as possible.
I recommend going somewhere else. I usually go to Pristine Auto Spa in Morrisville, where I pay $15 for a basic wash and they do an excellent job. They take car of my car as if it were their own.
Bunkies Carwash High House Rd. Cary, NC. I stopped to get a $14.00 regular wash and intererior cleaned out. I was warned it would take longer than normal due to only a few people at work. The job didn't take that long, but once I got home, I noticed many places in the interior still had coffee spills on the dash and on the doors. Trash was left in the back of the SUV. Outside the rims were not cleaned off. They still has 30% of the brake dust showing on the rims. I was very disappointed. I work hard for my $14.00 - I would expect the same from Bunkies. I will not give any more of my business.
great customer service. I recently moved to Raleigh and found Bunky's on City Search. I have been more than happy with the job they do on my car. Fast, thorough, and attention to detail. The employees are great- remembered me after my 2nd visit!
