Tips for Raleigh Autocare

February 26, 2013

I am sorry Sheila A had a bad experience at our business. But a couple of things need to be cleared up. At our repair facility where we have commissioned techs so we have to collect for service or they do not get paid. I offered to escort her to our quick lube facility where we could do that service for free. It too has big open glass for her viewing. As for the hospital/doctor comment. What we try to explain is the difference between the quick lube and the repair facility. Meaning the doctor is always cheaper than going to the hospital and better to get minor services performed at the doctor than the hospital. Again we are sorry she left unhappy.

Stay away from the "Car Hospital"-. All I needed was them to check if my battery was good or bad because I left my lights on for 3 days and my Battery is older (ive been sick and hadn't left my home so had no idea i had left my lights on) So i just needed to know if i needed a new battery or if i needed it charged- I went here because they carry the type of battery I have in my car- But I left pretty quickly because, They were going to charge me $63.00 just to do a check on it, NO WORK, just to check if my battery and alternator were good- So knowing that other places would do this for FREE, I said, "No thank you I will take my car some where else." The manager came out and tried to tell me that it is standard to charge this much and he said, "Well if you take your car somewhere else, you will be taking your car to a car doctor, but we are a car Hospital"- Really? i can't make that quote up, really, the manager told me this- So i knew they thought I was stupid and thought they just could take the money I don't have- so I said "I'm sorry but I'm going some where else." So I took my car to a firestone, they checked my Battery and Alternator for FREE,and there was nothing wrong with them, and they cleaned my battery-and I got to watch them while they checked my car because they have the nice big open windows and you can see what is going on- So please don't get bamboozled by the "Car Hospital", go anywhere else-

Raleigh Auto Care, great people and service!. A couple months ago I took my car in to have the drive belt and alternator replaced. Last week my car started making a bad chirping squealing noise. I was worried because I just fixed it. I called them and had an appointment the next morning. It turns out it was just a bad belt, and since they had done the repairs before, they fixed it for free! Didn’t cost me a dime! When was the last time you took your car to a mechanic and it didn’t cost you at least $50? They stand by their work and treat their customers fairly.

Quick Lube is quick, efficient, and sticks to their quote. They're honest and reasonable. If they aren't sure, they tell me.

I have not had any experience with Raleigh Autocare.

Great Service!. I've had nothing but great experiences with Raleigh Autocare. Even when there have been several problems with my car, I've been told a priority list of what should be fixed now to ensure safety and upkeep of the car, and what I can wait on so that I don't have to spend too much all at once. It is appreciated that the staff at Raleigh Autocare is honest and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

don't take your vehicle here!. I took my vehicle in for what I later found out was a sensor problem; raleigh autocare told me the transmission was shot and needed to be rebuilt or replaced. they also told me that I needed new brakes, that the brakes were "unsafe" to drive as they were so bad. Thankfully, I did not have the work done and went to another shop that fixed the problem (which was a sensor NOT the transmission) and said the brakes were "fine, they have 60% wear left". Raleigh autocare also charged me a 75$ "diagnostic fee" "to find the problem"
