Great Chinese Food. My wife has gotten a lot of different dishes and has loved them all. I tend to stick to the General Tso's Chicken which is always fantastic! Just spicy enough and the little whole peppers are great for the dish. We've always had good service, admittedly we go when it's a little quieter. Weekend nights we get take-out, which is always ready when we get there and packed up well. Their Crab Ragoon is awesome!
Best Chinese. This is a great place to eat, the food here is far better than PF Chang, the prices are very resonable.
Average at best.. The food here is pretty average. A lot of it does not have very much flavor. When I get food from here, it's usually only two items that are actually wonderful here: The egg rolls and the Subgum Wonton Soup. The egg rolls are over stuffed and yummy!! This is one of the few chinese restaurants in town that serves Subgum Wonton Soup. For those that don't know, it's basically Wonton soup with veggies and 3 meats. It's a meal in and of itself. The only downside is that it's a serving for two, but if you are like me, you can eat both anyway.
decent.
this place was ok.. over priced for the small portion size.
didn't have to wait long, which was nice.
good chicken and broc. tho' :)
Excellent food but SMOKING spoiled the fun!. I loved the food (big points for not being too oily/greasy) - it was flavorful with wonderful vegetables. Ambience was wonderful; music relaxing; wall sculptures/paintings very nice. I didn't like that there was a smoking section, though - spoiled the taste of the food. Probably won't go back until they ban smoking!!
Americanized Chinese fare in a modern, sophisticated location that's a cut above the average..
In Short
Graciously shunning the typical too-bare-and-brightly-lit Chinese restaurant atmosphere, Neo-China convinces diners to skip the takeout and stay awhile. With its stone pieces and modern art paintings, there's almost a museum-like feel inside. Recommended items include the chicken with mushrooms, shrimp with lobster sauce, or shrimp and vegetables over angel hair. Top off your meal with a healthy serving of lychee (Chinese fruit).
Best Chinese Restaurant in Raleigh!. Love it! We have eaten at Neo China dozens of times and every meal is perfect. Never had a bad experience.
Worst Food & Service. The food was bland with no spice and the chicken was not properly cooked. We ordered a tofu dish. Tofu had a sour taste and had a bad smell needless to say they served stale food. We explained this to the waiter and he didn't show any concern. We had to leave the food and came back home with empty stomachs. I would never recommend this place to any one.
bland. I was served incredibly bland food - hardly a hint of garlic or ginger, but lots of corn starch. The hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour.
OK at best. The food was only fair compared to all the other Chinese restaurants I've patronized in the Triangle and waiter was 'too familiar' with the customers and was almost hoping we'd leave ASAP.
