Best Chinese Ever!. Not only was the food DELICIOUS, but the restaurant itself was breath-taking. Service was also impeccable. When I found out they do private parties, I immediately booked the place for my wedding reception! My friends and I all say Peking Garden's the best Chinese restaurant in town.

Hairy Chinese Food. We'd heard this restaurant was the best in the Triangle, blah blah, blah, and ordered delivery...we got our food 1.5 hours later and there was so much HAIR in it....it was inedible! It was just like someone had cleaned out their hair brush in it. And when we called to complain? We were put on hold and then hung up on, numerous times. I will never ever go there again. I was expecting something stellar, something ... epic ... but there was so much hair it was hard to overcome. None of us ate it, and we didn't get any sort of reimbursement or apology or anything. Horrendous customer service. Absolutely terrible! I'd go for Wang's Kitchen any day!

Not great, but good for the area. This isn't the GREATEST chinese food you'll have, but it's some of the best in the Triangle. The food is not oily and is cooked without MSG. We've tried several of our favorites off the menu and have been pleased with the flavor and quality of meats. Items that are traditionally heavily coated/fried are often prepared with a thinner, lighter coating/breading. The vegetables are crunchy. We do delivery and dine in and have had positive experiences for both. The restaurant is clean and the food seems to be above the usual chinese carry-out quality.

I was spoiled in Northern Virginia. This is the second Chinese restaurant we've tried since moving to Raleigh 6 months ago. I was intrigued to see it had a 9.0 rating so decided to try it. The food was bland and dry. There was no flavoring...it was just spicy. I ordered delivery and luckily I called back because I wasn't told upfront they charged me $4 for delivery evan for being within 5 miles (not disclosed on their website menu). I'm still on the hunt for the best chinese in town. If others think this is worth a 9.0, then I've got the name of a few places up north that are 15+

RIP OFF~!!!. The food is wonderful but the service is less than desirable. The website states they deliver, but there's a catch. They do not deliver lunch. To top it off they run a lunch special, but don't tell you until you get there to pick up your food that even though you are paying the same price for your meal as someone who dines in you do not get the soup that is included in this special. Why pay for what you're not getting? I recommend saving your money and going else where.

Excellent Dining Experience. Our regular Chinese restaurant is across town and we wanted to try a place closer to our Six Forks address, that's why we tried Peking Garden. The decor is absolutely lovely! I was very imporessed. The service was excellent, the food was high quality and very fresh, and the overall visit was a good value for the money. My only "con" is that I prefer a more heavily seasoned Chinese meal and this meal was not only light (not greasy at all!) but was also light on flavor (ginger, pepper). Still, I recommend Peking Garden.

Finally Drove Me Away .... I've been coming here for years. I wrote a review in June 2005 ... everything I said in the review about the food is still true.

However, the service has, over the years, degenerated from different/ok to downright insultingly awful. As the poster before this mentioned, the take-out service is just INCREDIBLY HORRIBLY AWFUL. They WILL either a) lose your order, b) forget one item out of your order (most often: the rice, which is kind of important), c) make you sit and wait twice as long as they estimated, only for your food to come out of the kitchen cold, or d) make you sit and wait twice as long as they estimated, only for them to finally realize that your food was sitting right next to the front counter the entire time. I am not exaggerating -- in recent months one of these scenarios has befallen EVERY ONE of my take out orders. The staff seems increasingly unhappy and will take it out on you, kind diner. The fact that there generally is no one at the front to greet customers should be taken as a bad sign -- it is. The greeters/hosts/hostesses they do have are spectacularly unfriendly. Beware the young fellow with glasses -- if he is at the front desk, YOUR EVENING WILL NOT GO WELL.

I am going to miss the food. I have probably spent $100/month at this place over the last 5 years. But no more. They finally drove me away.

One of the best chinese restaurants in this area.. My experience at Peking Garden was unbelievable. Peking Garden is the epitome of great Chinese food. My first time was a few weeks ago and I haven't looked back since. Their traditional dishes are to die for. Try the Peking Duck, Royal Crispy Shrimp, the SZECHUAN FISH (absolutely delicious), I can just go on and on. If you like Chinese food, you will not just like it but LOVE it once you try Peking Garden.

Authentic Cuisine. Peking Garden cooks the best authentic Chinese cuisine in Raleigh. Try the traditional menu. It's the best part. Vegetable tofu roll, tender hot and spicy chicken, and royal crispy shrimp are my personal favorite.

Also visit the koi fishpond, the fishes, Johnny and Tony, are very friendly. Be sure to stop by and pet them.
