I have always had a hard time being
fitted for bras. In June 2009, I traveled to Charleston, SC to visit an older cousin with the hope that she would be able to help me find a "good" bra. Every where she suggested failed me. I had been married 1 year, and she was tired of hearing me cry over lack of support from my bras, so she did some online research and found Bra Patch in Raleigh, NC. Since I live in Greensboro, NC, I did not mind the drive...praying that it would be worth it.
I e-mailed and made an appointment for Fourth of July weekend. The first thing that caught my eye was "Specializing in Hard-to-Fit Sizes" on their website. I have to admit that I was skeptical at first, because I had heard that before. When I left the store, I was so excited that I texted everybody to tell them that I finally had some "lift" in my life. I saw my cousin that afternoon at a family cookout, and she will tell you that my smile was so big, and I told her "who knew that bras went higher than 48DDD." The down side is that I only have 2 colors, but I can deal with that. :)
Having a great fitting bra gives you confidence. I tell everyone that I meet about the Bra Patch. In fact, the Sales Associates where I purchase the majority of my clothes has begun referring customers there.
I will continue to recommend Bra Patch to everyone I know.
The best bra store I have ever been to! Personal service was amazing. I have always had trouble finding my size and they had a great selection. This is the best store, I will never shop anywhere else!
They didn't have my size, which was annoying because I heard they were supposed to be all about having sizes. I just need a 32b, although I was hoping to try a 31 b or c if there was such a thing. Nope. They think rib cages start at 34, just like most stores. Not special!
If i could give this place 0 stars i would. I have been there many times and received awful service. They judge costumers the second they walk in the door. they don't know how to size some one properly. Their idea of sizing some is give them a bra that sorter works, just to make a sale. If you buy something from there you only have 3 days to bring it. I am big on supporting the local community, but i have had enough with this place and will never be back!!!
The Bra Patch is Worth the Drive. I liked The Bra Patch. The staff was nice and helpful. It's a cute little boutique. The bras are beautiful. I found a bra I liked with no problem. I am going back there again next time I need a bra.
Disappointing. Disappointed in their selection and they tend not to carry anything for smaller band/larger cup. If you are in the triad area, I recommend trying A Sophisticated Pair in Burlington.
Found many of the same bras on sale at Nordstrom.
I have shopped at The Bra Patch for my last few bras. I have always found a bra that fit, but it is such an ordeal with the lack of adequate fitting rooms and low staffing to client ratio.
Today, my family went to Nordstrom at Southpoint Mall and Nordstrom Rack across the street from the mall. I found ALL my favorite styles and brands I typically purchase at The Bra patch were ON SALE between Nordstrom and Nordstorm Rack. (I am hard to fit, so I was thrilled)
At Nordstrom, we didnt have to wait for fitting rooms, we were able to try on ourselves. (can't stand that constant supervision at The Bra Patch). The Nordstrom fitter offered help if needed. Very well worth a drive to Durham. The overall selection at Nordstrom was prettier, more stylish, and RETURNABLE. I noticed coordinating panties (various styles) paired with most of the bras. (nice touch).
The Bra Patch is a nice little local specialty shop. However, I discovered the grass is greener at Southpoint!
good experience.
I just came back from the bra patch.
first off, let me say that i am no stranger to pricey bras. no one ever has my size and when they do, its costs money. I wear a 34G. i got off work at 5:30 and booked it over there, b/c they close at 6:00. got there at 5:45. i was looking around, checking stuff out when a lady asked me if i would like to try some stuff on. i told her that i was just going to look today, because i didnt want to hold them up past their closing time. she assured me that it was not an imposition at all and i began to try on bras. i walked out at 6:15 with one bra that holds the girls up nicely. i want to see how things go with the bra before i buy more, as it was a little pricey. overall, a good experience and i have a feeling that i will be going back again and again :D
Long wait. My fitter was Candy. Apparently, she got out of bed on the wrong side. If I had not had such a great first impression of the store when I walked in, I would have possibly left upset. All of the staff (with the exception of Candy) extended warm vibes and extensive personal service to all the clients. I overheard others waiting speaking of how impressed they were with the staff and the time they extended to each and every customer. I also noticed everyone left with a purchase and a smile!
FINALLY, SOMEWHERE I CAN TRUST. i HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM THE BRA PATCH AND HAD A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! THE FIRST BRA I TRIED ON FIT, THEN SHE GOT ME ONE THAT FIT MUCH BETTER... I AM VERY HAPPY AND WILL BE GOING TO THE BRA PATCH REGULARLY. PRICES ARE GOOD TOO. NOW I HAVE TO GET USED TO MY GIRLS LOOKING UP AT ME!
