gifted mechanic, honest business man. My Dad use to say there are four folks that every person needs on speed dial to make life a lot easier - a good doctor, Lawyer, Accountant and auto Mechanic .

Ive been blessed with all, Tobola has been keeping my cars running well for the last 19 years!

There are three things that make him the best mechanic in my book:

1) truly gifted mechanic . . .

he works on any manufacturer of automobile well. I have taken everything from my old beater Buick airport car to my wife's Lexus as well as our Honda Odyssey... with great results.....

heck, he kept my 1996 Ford Probe running well over 200,000 miles and that is a feat of pure mechanical brilliance for those that understand what a mechanical monstrosity that car was!.

2) Reasonable rates -

He wont accept payment until the job is done right.

He charges the going hourly rate, however, charges you only what it takes to fix your car . . unlike the dealers and other garages that charge you by the job... His estimates are dead on. If anything I find myself asking if the bill is right from the opposite perspective as in - is he charging me enough after receiving estimates from other garages. He uses the official parts, just like the dealers.

3) Honest -

I don't use this adjective lightly, this guy tells you what is going on and what it will take to fix it..

He performed triage on one of my old vehicles to help me get what was most critical fixed first and the rest when I could afford it. The crisis was due to a botched job at one of the "quick garages" that left me stranded one mile from his place.

He will not take payment until the job is done right and if something is not to the customer's satisfaction, he takes it out personally to isolate what is wrong and fixes it immediately - no run around, no games, just good solid business practices.

He takes extreme pride in doing quality work.

I have sent about 15-20 folks to Tobola over the years and no one has ever come back with anything but amazement. He gets more repeat business than anyone I know and he is always busy. This guy works like a dog.

The good the now the "bad and the ugly":

He has no "staff" to answer the phone or serve Starbucks coffee and danish. He answers the phone and the questions himself.

He has only one location.

No courtesy van, you will have to walk to Snoopy's or Jerry's while waiting if you get hungry or thirsty although he does have a candy machine and plenty of magazines.

If you want a "call back" or a hottie / beauty queen at the counter you are going to be waiting a while as he is busy working and serving those that are there with quotes and honest work.

Id gladly settle for the latter.

Love this shop!. This is definitely the mechanic I've been looking for. They are terrific and do what they say they are going to do. Great prices and perform small tasks at no charge!
