A great buying experience. I bought a VW Jetta yesterday from Gene Isaac at Southern States VW, and it was the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Gene was very low pressure....actually no pressure at all, but was very helpful and pleasant and easy to deal with. Everyone else at the dealership was very friendly also. I mentioned to Gene that I had read some unfavorable reviews of their dealership, mostly regarding the service dept, and he actually took me into the service dept and introduced me to those guys. I spoke to Tim Stoneking and he said they were working hard to provide good service and overcome any past issues, and gave me his card and told me that I was welcome to email or call him anytime. This made me feel much better about my future relationship with the service dept. Hopefully I won't be disappointed, but we are definitely off to a good start, and I love my new Jetta!…
Too many things went wrong.... I purchased a used car for my daughter from a third-party and took it to the Southern States body shop. These people were difficult to work with. The person I worked with did not pay attention to what I wanted done, the work that was done was done poorly, it wasn't done on time, and finally when I went to pick up a part I left with them to have painted they couldn't find it. I'm typically not one to complain; however, too many things went wrong at Southern States.…
Dishonest Thieves with Senior Support.
My daughter bought a 2003 Passat that had been sold by and serviced by Southern States Volkswagen. They did the major service that included the changing of the timing belt and water pump. This was
what the CarFax report stated and one of the primary reasons she bought the car.
She took it to an independent to make the car worthy for a cross country drive and was advised that the timing belt and water pump needed to be replaced. This was verified by another independent.
I went to their service department, asked about the service and was advised that it had been done. I confronted them with the independent assessments and asked them to take a look at it. I was giving them a chance to do the right thing.
Instead I was told to leave.
I called the manager of the facility and after 5 attempts, I have given up. He obviously is complicit or incompetent of both.
They have reported illegally and immorally a repair that was not done. I suspect the original owner sold the car in disgust at the horrible service.
I'll call Volkswagen USA and see if they give a damn. If they don't, my love affair with VW is gone. I am so disappointed and my daughter is stuck with a $1000 repair that was supposedly done.
CarFax is only as good as the information given. I will call them too ... they should not accept data from Southern States Volkswagen ... they are dishonest and will besmirch their reputation too.
Disgusted ... NEVER SHOP AT SOUTHERN STATES VOLKSWAGEN OF RALEIGH ... they are not just bad, they are thieves.…
Good Service. Good service and not pushy, I was satisfied with my car buying experience.
Excellent. Excellent buying experience. Devon was very courteous, knowledgeable and always available. Probably the best car buying experience I have had.
