I was referred to Lorrie after asking a woman while shopping in Cameron Village, who did her hair. I love my highlights and haircut. She also cuts my children and my husbands hair. She keeps me laughing during my appointment. I have never been happier with my hair.

So glad, I was referred to Lorrie!. My friend has been one of Lorrie's clients for at least 7 years. I was new to the area and needed someone to help me with my highlights. First, my last highlights were awful, so I needed help, not to mention...MY ROOTS! Lorrie listened, gave me the haircut I desperately needed. She is funny, very outgoing. She really made me laugh and gave some great maintenance tips. I have just had my third appointment with her and see many more in my future.

Gotta love Lorrie, the gift of gab and talent to boot!. My family and I have been clients of Lorrie, for sometime now. Lorrie does my color, haircut and eyebrow waxing, we do something a bit different each time...I love it! She has done updo's for my daughter's prom and other events, as well as her haircuts and highlights. My husband, likes that Lorrie can get him in and out quickly, during his lunch hour and that she is close to his downtown office. When my son comes home from college (he's an hour and a half away), he waits to get his haircut with Lorrie. We all just love her, she makes us laugh and keeps us looking good. We wouldn't have her any other way!

Classy Cuts. The girls at The Cutting Edge are extremely talented, you will never walk out of there hating your new hairstyle. They can do updos and regular haircuts, adults and childrens hairstyles. They are very talented ladies. Plus the customer services is amazing, you are guarenteed to have a good time. They also have tanning beds and provide waxing, so you can come out looking like you just left the beach or just plain silky smooth.

Lorrie + The Cutting Edge = My Hair Happiness. I've been a client of The Cutting Edge for almost 2 years. I used to see another stylist Brandi, but when she quit I had to be rescheduled with Lorrie. I was usually happy with my hair with my previous stylist, but was never just "thrilled". She would listen to me, but then would seem to do what she thought was best. I like the location and the salon's atmosphere, so I chose to stay at the salon and try a new stylist. I LOVE MY HAIR!! Lorrie listened to my concerns, that my hair never quite had the definition I was looking for, she also helped me address the brassiness that seemed to always linger in my hair. When she finished, my hair was unbelievable...she had me look at my skin tone...I looked just radiant, she explained when your hair color is proper tone and level, it's easy to tell...my coloring as in my skin tone, should be complemented by my color, not have my hair color wash me out, or show my laugh lines, etc. I found my experience with her, to not only be informative, but entertaining. She kept me laughing and others around her. I also noticed how many of the other stylists clients would say hello or have a little something to tell Lorrie when they came for their appointments...and though she took time to speak to them or just say hello, I never felt ignored or not heard. I guess to sum it all up, I would say : Lorrie + The Cutting Edge = My Hair Happiness.

Brandi is the best!!!!!. Brandi from the cutting edge is the best stylist that has done my hair, i have always had hard to control hair,before brandi started cutting and coloring my hair. i wil never have anyone else touch my hair!

Glad Lorrie's Back!!. This salon has had a remodel since my hairdresser, Lorrie last worked, at The Cutting Edge. Not only was the salon looking fabulous...Lorrie keeps me looking fabulous. She has been my hairdresser for almost 11 years...she's the best! I love that she is back across from NC State. It's so convienent from my office downtown. The salon looks great, the staff are friendly and Lorrie is not only talented, but a shiny spot that keeps me laughing while I get my highlights and haircut. Maybe, I'll see you there...LOL!

Great!. Brandi at the Cutting Edge is the only person who has EVER been able to cut or style my thick but fine and wavy hair correctly.

UPDATED TO ADD: Brandi is still the best but she now works at Salon Six on Saint Mary's Street

4 years and still happy. I came to Raleigh as a student at NCSU. Leaving the place I have had my hair cut all my life led me on a search to find a new place. After a few bad experiences, I felt at home at the Cutting Edge. The conversation is great, and the stylists are very skilled at what they do. Definitely recommended to everyone!
