Confusing. The people were really nice, but not very helpful in explaining what to do for a first-timer. Both my roommate and I got sick from the food we ate, which we think was due to the spinach pies. (We also expected the spinach pies to be more like spanakopita, but it was more like a piece of flat bread with spinach and feta on top. Not as good as I expected.) However, they had a lot of options and different types of food. I will definitely give it another shot.

nice middle eastern flavor. This place was stuck in quite the unassuming place, across the railroad behind Waffle House on Beryl. Nice outside dining area, and a good looking, though basic, interior with an ordering, dining, and grocery area. The food came quickly. I ordered a lamb shawarma, which was pretty good, though I've had better in the area. For the price, it could have been a little larger. The pistacio baklava was excellent. Not really a bad value though it seems pricey, and pretty good overall.

Best Middle Eastern deli around!. I remember this place before they made all of the upgrades a few years ago. It was a wonderful place to get a good, healthy meal on a grad school budget. Although the portions got a little smaller after the renovation, the quality of food didn't suffer at all -- everything is great! The service is equally excellent. Even at $3 a gallon for petrol, I'm willing to make the 25 minute trek from N. Raleigh to eat here.

Excellent pita bread, hummus, kibbeh, baklava, grape leaves and middle-eastern market. Having a party ? Stop by this place an pick up pita and hummus and baba ganoush(sp?). Also some grape leaves and baklava. Or fix a plate for middle eastern food for your dinner. Be ready to pay for it, however ... as it's quite expensive ... but worth it. If you two of you each order a dinner plate expect to pay $20. There are a couple of tables for you to sit down and eat. However, we always take it out.

Healthy dose of Middle Eastern cuisine reigns supreme at this deli near downtown Raleigh.. In Short
Travel to a faraway land without going outside the Triangle when you visit this deli. Taste tests are available if you feel tentative about anything too exotic. Roam the shelves while you wait and discover spices, sweets, snacks and more. The deli itself is sparse and clean and the pungent smells of colorful dishes wafts throughout. The falafel (baked fresh daily) is a must, as are the other breads baked here.

I love this place. That pretty much sums it up. They are always super nice. The food is great. The market has tons of cool stuff that you can't find anywhere else...

Great food for a health conscious person. While not vegan, the food is more vegatable -oriented than most. The postions are reasonable and you get 3 -4 items on a single plate so for not much money you get a lovely plate of delicious food.

A great find. I had always thought of this place as just a deli so I never thought twice about going there for lunch. I was told though that they served Shawerma, which I've been craving since leaving the Bay Area. Excellent Lentil Rice, tasty Shawerma's, decadent desserts, tasty salads (Tabouli). I'm a regular at both the one in Morrisville and in Raleigh.

MUMTAZ!. After spending two months in Jordan and returning to college in NYC, I was horribly disappointed by the lack of good middle eastern food in the New York area. Then, after coming home to Raleigh, I was astonished to find the best arabic food i'd had since Jordan!!!! NC should be proud to have such an amazing example of great middle eastern food, and i only wish they would open up a second location in new york! :-)

Best Hummus anywhere!. I've eaten a lot of hummus, and this is the best...the falafel is just as good and the dolmas are wonderfully fresh and flavorful. This is my favorite place to pick up a picnic lunch! Their pita is unbeatable (try the sesame) and the date mamoul are not to be missed. The remodeling is fabulous and has really made the atmosphere appealing.
