Good, Cheap Mexican Food. I love El Rodeo! Great for the college student on a budget. Great salsa and queso. You MUST try Tiras de Pollo. It's the absolute best dish there, but you can't go wrong with the cheap combination dinners, and those are extremely affordable at lunch. Margaritas are fabulous, of course. Good, fast service.

Excellent salsa if you add pico de gallo, open late at night. I have eaten for six years at both the Davie Street and Wake Forest Road locations. I prefer the Wake Forest Road location where the staff are very friendly and usually very prompt. They have recently done some upgrading of fixtures at the restaurant. I like that it is open until 11 P.M. I have also gone in there to get takeout, which is appreciated. The food is about the best available in Raleigh (not up to CA or TX standards though). They will make the plates to order, i.e., exchanging rice or salad for beans. I do wish they had a dining room for large groups.

terrible service. the food here is okay, nothing amazing. but their service is just horrible. there was one time where we finished eating, got in line to pay up front.. apparenlty their credit card machine was down but they fogot to mention it to the customers. so there was a huge line in the front and everyone was going to the atm or didn tknow what to do. several of us asked to see the manager but he/she never came up to the front to talk to us. i would recommend going to other mexican restaurants in the area that have good food for the same price!

Boring food. Food is mediocre at best. Fast service and excellent wait staff. Cheap.

Pretty good. The food here is pretty good i admit i prefer my food to be a little more spicy but thats not a huge issue the food is good and flavorful.

who's kidding who ?. El Rodeo is only an average mexican restaurant at best. There are similar Mexican restaurants all over the place, literally hundreds. I rate it higher than Taco Bell but not by much. There is nothing exciting about their food ! It's not bad, but it's not great. It's average. How this restaurant got rated #1 is a mystery to me.

Yummy!!. I don't usually add ratings but thought I had to speak up for El Rodeo when I saw that someone gave them a 3. I totally disagree with that person. I think El Rodeo is great! The food is very good and the service is fast and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends. The atmosphere is very casual, so if you're looking for fancy, go somewhere else. But for great food and a casual, friendly atmosphere, El Rodeo's the place.

Mucho blando. I have eaten here several times for a quick, cheap lunch with a group. I've always found the food to be kind of blah. However, if you're looking for mexican food that has very little spice or non-standard flavor, this might be a good place to go.

que Bueno!. The beef steak picado en salsa verde is the greatest. Good flavor and the right amount of heat.
