In Short – Grandparents remember the carved rabbits, tigers, horses and other magical animals at this recreational area's signature circa 1912 carousel. Added to the National Register of Historic Sites in 1976, it has since undergone renovations. The park also has a real caboose, boat and train rides and standard playground equipment for kids. The rides aren't as cheap as when Grandma rode them, but a dollar each isn't too bad.

I like taking my niece and nephews here -- the train and carousel are fun for both kids and adults, and there is a lot of shade, so that's especially nice during the hot months.
