Great place for beginners!

by tankedup at Citysearch

I am pretty new to saltwater aquariums so I have lots of questions. These folks are always willing to spend some time with me and help out. They usually have what I need or can get it in a couple of days. I would love to see some more corals in house for purchase!!

Don't waste your time.

First off the Etta Burke Ct address is incorrect and from my experience doesn't exist at all. Once I did get the correct address the place was still a pain to find. It is located in a little hole in the wall plaza between the fork of two very busy one-ways streets that is surrounded by trees. If you do plan on going there I'd recommend not doing so between 4-6PM on a weekday.

When I first entered the store I noticed a tinge of dead fish smell in the air. I was looking to buy some black foam sealant for the waterfall of my fish pond and had called ahead of time to confirm they carried it. Much to my disappointment and after the adventure of finding the place the only foam they carried was some brand I didn't recognize and it came in 20oz cans for $43 a piece. This was roughly the same price as three 12oz cans that I had seen elsewhere.

  • Pros: Large selection of fish
  • Cons: Poor location, high priced specialty items

THE WORST FISH STORE ON EARTH!!!!

by princesa81 at Citysearch

I WILL NEVER EVER EVEN IF THIS WERE THE LAST AQUARIUM STORE EVER GO HERE AGAIN! WHEN I WALKED IN THE DOOR THE DID NOT SPEAK, THEY DID NOT ASK IF I NEEDED ASSISTANCE, THEY ARE RUDE AND PREJEDUICE. I HAVE ALOT OF MONEY TO SPEND ON MY REEF TANK AND THEY WILL NEVER GET MY MONEY FOR ANYTHING. THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY CORALS,FISH BRINE SHRIMP OR LIVE ROCK. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS TH E WORST I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED ANYWHERE. I WILL NEVER TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE AND WILL SPEAK BAD OF IT ANYTIME I RUN ACROSS ANOTHER REEFER. NEVER EVER SHOP HERE.

Great Folks

by jumpstartbill at Citysearch

Been a Customer of FishPro's since 1998. The owner Cindy is great, and she has a very stable group of folks working at her shop. Nice to buy from the same familiar faces, rather than a new college kid every month.

Product selection on Salt/Freshwater Fish and Equipment is good. Not so great on Coral selections, but starting to do better on this in the last year.

  • Pros: Experienced, Friendly, Helpful
  • Cons: Limited Corals
