I was amazed after reading some of the tips, Toms has always been a great place for me to shop. I have returned a few things here without incident , they are always more then willing to help

Tom,his wife and son are very nice, only negative thing is that prices are a little high

GREAT STORE!!. We have been doing business with Tom's Train Station since 2000. They have always been very helpful with our purchasing several thousand dollars for our train layout. They are very knowledgable and we have attended several of Tom's classes for our layout in several different aspects that we needed help with. They have always gone above and beyond what they needed to do to help us with our layout. They sent one of our brand new diesel sets off that ran off our track and it got repaired and sent back at no charge to us and it looks brand new. They went the extra mile for us and we truly appreciate it. They are one of the few stores that still has integrity when it comes to customer service. We would highly recommend anyone that needs anything regarding a model train layout to go to Tom's Train Station. They have everything from trains, track, accessories and tools.

Excellent Model Train Shop. This is a well stocked shop with employees that know their product. The guy in the baseball cap is especially helpful in matters of digital HO products.

I highly recommend this store.

BEWARE!. Made purchase for Christmas. The product was defective. When I went back to the store to return the item I got the fight of my life. I mean they will do anything to keep from fulfilling their 15 day return policy. They even accused me of "burning up the motor" of the train set. Like I did it intentionally. They said it was a used train set so I could not return it. Well how do you know it works if you dont at least turn it on. Unbelievable. Refused to credit my credit card because they said it cost them money. Had to pay a 10% restocking fee. Basically I gave them money for the privilidge of buying a defective train set. Do Not Shop here! By the way I was verbally abused by not one but three clerks there while trying to resolve this issue.

Nice People - Good Service. Shopping and buying here is a really enjoyable experience. They have a big selection of model trains of all types, model train buildings and little cars to go with them, and tools for modelers, etc. It was hard to choose what to buy but they are very patient and helpful and steered me to some things that were less than I expected to spend but exactly what I needed, rather than to the most expensive things they had. I came back for advice when I did not understand exactly how to connect the wires to one item and they spent the time to make sure I really did know just how to do it right when I got home.

I would definately recommend this store to anyone.

Would have been better off ordering online. Had high hopes for this model store at first, but after my last experience will never shop there again. They claimed to carry a large selection of gauges, but in reality that translates into, "they can order" a large selection of stuff for you.

Buyers Warning:

-Staff is rude and obstinate.

-Extremely overpriced

-If you return an item, they refuse to put the money back on your credit card, claiming "store return policy," despite not having a store return policy listed.

I will never shop here again, not after this treatment. The treatment was bad enough, that when other customers overheard the staff refusing to give a refund, the store emptied.
