Went their for a 5:00 dinner last Thursday. BBQ sandwich was cooler than room temp. Fries were cool to the touch. Had to have been sitting out for over an hour to get that cold. Not busy at all, employees just didn't care apparently. I heard it wasn't as good as it used to be. I hope my experience was an exception. Don't want to lose a local place like this.

Although this is a pretty small set-up and is almost always packed, it's worth the wait! The BBQ here is well known to be one of the best places in NC. I had their chicken pot pie dish, which was just okay, but they were out of what I originally wanted. The hush puppies are amazing and everyone I was with absolutely loved the pork. My husband would eat here every day if he could!

I love good and I mean good Carolina BBQ, you know the type - pulled or chopped pork slowly cooked and then loaded up with a vinegar and red pepper seasoning. Ole Time BBQ is like that. If you in this area I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Oh and what's nice, they also ship free anywhere in the continental US. This is worth taking a trip over to Hillsborough St when your in Raleigh, you won't regret it - promise!
