Okay, monkeywrench is definitely wrong. Just because you lived in China, doesn't mean you have to expect genuine Chinese food! This food is definitely well-cooked, I like the ambiance and atmosphere, and the manager is always nice and friendly. The food comes out pretty darn fast, and their lunch specials are a pretty good deal. I always look forward to eating there!

Just Another Take-Out. We just moved here and were looking forward to this place because of the review, but it's just another crappy Chinese take-out with gunky food. The guy at the desk was friendly enough. The menu was the usual business, and all four of the dishes we ordered were just the same goopy/over-cooked/horribly-sweetened or greasy food as any other take-out in town. I lived in China, I love the food from all over the country, but this is not a good example of anything. Except there are two TVs blaring out from different corners, and in that sense, it did actually remind me of any number of Chinese greasy spoons I ate in over there. Except the food here was just awful.

Nice people, good/cheap food. You could easily pass by Pearl tucked away in a strip mall attached to a Food Lion, but it's a great place for take-out!! The employees are always extremely friendly and helpful, and it's amazingly fast.

My favorite Chinese restaurant!. Pearl Chinese Restaurant doesn't automatically catch your attention from the outside, but the food inside is where this place really shines. They have the best tofu I have found anywhere! The service is quick and friendly and the tables are always clean. I really like their Koi pond too. :)

Worth the trip!!!. Pearl Chinese food is the best Chinese Restaurant I have found in Raleigh. The Atmosphere is Great..for a carry out!! It is always clean never dirty. The "Cashier Lady" is always pleasant. Now, they dont deliver but it is well worth the trip. We have moved about 20 minutes away but we dont mind taking the ride at all. IT IS JUST THAT GOOD!!!!

Who CARES about ambience?!. Okay, I grew up in NYC burbs, and have lived in several cities and states across the country. Save for San Francisco, no place has had decent NY Chinese food. UNTIL NOW! Ambience is great; go to Neo China or Peking Garden to get some. And when you'rea ctually hungry for REAL Chinese food... GO TO PEARL CHINESE RESTAURANT!!!

Takeout Heaven. What Pearl lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for with taste. This has got to be the best place to get Chinese to-go in the triangle. Make sure to call ahead.
