good food, GREAT SERVICE. I used to live very close to this Hardee's. The food is good, considering it is a fast food joint. Sure, it's not particularly healthy, but the euphoria one feels after downing a Frisco Burger makes you forget how many calories it cost you. All that aside, the real reason I ate here once a week, sometimes twice a week, was for the service. The staff was always very friendly. It is good old fashioned southern hospitality. I never experience a problem with anything I ordered. If one is dining in, they even bring your food to your table for you, rare in fast food these days. This particular store, due to its close proximity to NCSU, offered a student deal, great for us broke students. You could order any combo meal, show them your student ID, and they would charge you only for the sandwich, saving me a valuable $2 or so every time I ate there. So if not for the food (which is still delicious), eat here for the service!
great burgers!. Stopped there because I was curious about their burgers and was super happy that I did. Amazing burgers; way better than McDs, BK and Wendys! Yummy!
Avoid. Their burgers are pretty disgusting but their chicken sandwiches are okay. It could taste a little better. I think the only problem is, is the oil that they use to fry the chicken in. As far as customer service goes, IT IS HORRIBLE! The personnel who took my order seemed as if they were mad at the world and they happend to take their anger out on me. I got my food 15 minutes after i had ordered and the bathrooms were filthy. After my first trip to the Hardee's on Avent Ferry and Gorman, I don't have to worry about going back anytime soon.
Signatures of this fast-food breakfast and burger chain include Made from Scratch Biscuits and the Thickburger..
In Short
The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.
Horrible - Only Eat here if you have to. I don't care what the ads say, their burgers are pretty bad. They best burgers at a fast food place is Wendy's. The Avent Ferry Hardee's is not managed very well and the burgers sit on my stomach like a rock. Go somewhere else and maybe this dump will be closed and a better place will open up.
