Worst Rental Company in Raleigh. I gave this one star because I wasn't able to give none. I've rented a property for 18 months now from this company and have never experienced a more rude, demeaning, unprofessional group of people. I will not name specific names, but the older lady that receives checks and seems to be head of the "accounting" department is legitimately the most hateful woman I have ever spoken to. I'm not sure what her issue is with people and life in general, but whoever allows her to talk to tenants on the phone is out of their MIND. I work for a software company and am required to talk on the phone to 20+ customers a day to address and resolve issues and have NEVER spoken to anyone the way she speaks to me every single time I've interacted with them. Mind you, I've NEVER been late on rent, been a good tenant for 18 months and have never presented any sort of issue for them. She spoke to me like a I was the scum of the earth, insulted me, made jabs at my intelligence, and smugly got off the phone. I was polite the entire conversation, hoping she would change her demeanor which NEVER happened. I've never written a review on ANYTHING and just signed up with city search to write this review.

Aside from the issues of dealing with this heinously unhappy devil of a woman, the property is legitimately FULL of bugs and rats. I'm almost 100% positive it wouldn't pass any sort of building inspection requirements given the ceiling is caving in and the bathroom is so mold-ridden I refuse to shower here and have gotten a gym membership and only shower there or my boyfriends house. The other reviews are EXACTLY correct. This place is a joke and good luck.

Because I do work in job where I deal with complaining customers, I will say the gentleman I have spoken with, I believe his name is Karl, was generally pleasant to deal with as well as the young lady who answers the phone.…

great experience. Wow, I rarely write reviews but felt the need to do so this time around. I haven't rented from VG Murray for a few years but have lived in 3 different apartments they rented in the past. I have friends staying with me that have just moved to town and I told them to check out VG Murray. The only complaint I have is that they are a bit behind the times with both their office and their lack of website prescence.....if they had a decent website it would work wonders for their business. I felt the need to write a review after reading the terrible reviews on here. Karl is a super nice guy and I never had any trouble with any of the women in the office. The apartments are not the newest, nicest places, but anytime I needed something fixed they got on it pronto. I even had a problem in one apartment with yelling and fighting coming from a neighbor's apartment, and they tended to it that very day and the people were removed who were causing the problem as there had been multiple complaints. This is not an "upscale" rental company, but the people are kind and responsive and the properties are inexpensive. I hate that they have so many bad reviews because I had years of good experience with them. If you pay your rent and mind your business, you should have no problem renting from these folks. Please consider them.…

Please do not rent from them if u no what I no. This is the worst management staff that I ever seen in my life. Well Karl is cool and he understands but that Bonnie wow she is crazy. She toke me to court for rent but it was paid. They miss placed the checks and applied them to another account and when we went to court the judge throw it out and she was so upset. PLEASE AVOID VG MURRAY (TOO STRESSFUL)!. This is the worst rental property management team ever! So, extremely unorganized. Saying you owe money and cant provide proof of why!! Not to mention Bonnie is HORRIBLE! The attitude is very unprofessional, she can not answer any questions. She is never helpful. "But where are these charges coming from Bonnie!" Bonnie's response, "I don't know I manage 800 other properties!" or "Not my problem!" I love it when she says "Is there anything else I can help you with!?" before promptly hanging up in your face! we will never EVER rent under them again! Please just a word of advice if you have to rent with them please have proof of everything! Please! Have bank statements, copies of your check, I mean anything and everything! because they will try to take charges from you, and throw out some miscellaneous number amount (I guess anything that sounds good) and cant explain where they are getting their numbers. My advice, read your lease agreement carefully, follow all guidelines, know the rules, and know them well, know what you owe, pay it, but always keep documentation, they do not, I repeat, do not know what they are doing, and this has been going on for a LONG time!
