Clever idea! – I am new to Raleigh and attended the live music at Capital City on Friday. The weather was perfect for it. I did not know before arriving that they have a wine and beer bar inside so I was able to bring my drink onto the covered porch and enjoy the band. It was interesting to learn that customers can also enjoy their favorite wine or beer while grocery shopping. What a clever idea!
Shopping made easy – How convenient is this? At Capital City Grocery, I can email my grocery list to the store and they will do my shopping for me! Now I don?t have to tote my two-year-old around in the grocery store for an hour trying to get all the ingredients for the impromptu dinner my husband planned; I can merely send my list from the comfort of my home and go pick up the groceries. A really nice service to have for a busy mom on the go. I will definitely be back at Captial City Grocery soon!
Affordable and Friendly! – Finding affordable and convenient groceries in downtown Raleigh has always been a challenge. I was excited to hear that the Capital City Grocery on Franklin Street was opening its doors again. I couldn?t resist and I visited the store days after its opening and was blown away by the affordable selection and friendly staff. I found everything I was looking for and more as I perused the hundreds of artisan wines and beers in its collection. It was refreshing to have quality service and a great selection at such a convenient location. Since my first visit, I still continue to find their friendly and knowledgeable staff a breath of fresh air and I sincerely recommend that if you are a Raleigh resident, you take the time to stop by and check it out for yourself.
Quality designer wear for the gal who wants to look stylish, but not over-the-edge. – In Short
Galatea has an extensive hat collection, some with exquisite handmade flower pins and silk and organza trim. Silky scarves, Audrey Hepburn-style designer handbags, clunky shoes, embroidered handkerchiefs and a great selection of avant-garde jewelry will finish off any outfit you've put together. If you're looking for affordable gift ideas, check out the unusual knickknacks scattered around the store.
Stylish Duds – The clothing in this store is quite stylish. The clothes look good on women of various sizes. If you're not exactly petite, you can find beautiful clothing in this store. The hats are wonderful too! I have always received compliments on clothing I have purchased from this store. There are great sales!
Beats the Mall – One of my favorite stores in Raleigh, Galatea is a fun attitude-free zone. I love the store's collection of Johnny Was dresses. The jewelry's also affordable and makes for great gifts.
