great clothes. loved the clothes here...cameron village is a great place to shop while B&C makes shopping in cameron village even more enjoyable!
better than NYC. Admittedly, I am a huge fan of B&C already. However, after just returning from a Christmas shopping trip to new york city, I am amazed at the beautifully edited selection at Beanie and Cecil in Raleigh. Trying to find pretty things at Barneys, Bergdorf, and Bendels was fruitless, and venturing into B&C was so refreshing. Raleigh girls should realize their luck! Fab stuff from Botkier, DVF, Wyeth, Nicole Miller..try digging out such pretty stuff anywhere else. Buddy up with Leah, Alex, Kathleen or Jennifer and you are golden. Regardless, cool shop!
Kate Spade, Tocca, Cynthia Rowley--top designers hang here..
In Short
Walk into Beanie and Cecil and you know immediately this is a place for the serious shopper. Unlike the Gap or the Limited, this hip shop doesn't need piped-in music and perfumed air to convince you to buy; the clothes sell themselves. Designs by Marc Jacob, Nicole Miller, Tocca and Kors hang on simple, well-spaced racks. The $300 Kate Spade bags wait in the back.
Shopping Nirvana!. Last May a new job moved me here from Chicago. I admit to being spoiled when it comes to having a variety of designers/boutiques to choose from. Unfortunately, I found Raleigh to be fashionless city w/no sense of style. Until I found this store. It's the only store I shop at now. Even w/my hair in a pony-tail & cut-off jean shorts, I'm ALWAYS treated well (Raleigh or Wilmington). The store is pricey, but one should expect this from an upscale boutique. Sales are always great w/recent purchases being (Raleigh) a 3-dot t-shirt for $15 from $58 & a pr of Theory capris (Wilmington) for $55 from $198. It isn't rare for Kate Spade bags to be on sale, too - as much as 75% off, too! . So if you're searching for good quality, stylish clothing - this place is a find!
Expensive, but definitely worth it!.
Beanie and Cecil is my favorite store in
Raleigh. It has chic clothes and accessories by Tocca, Kate Spade, Chaikan, Kors by Michael Kors, etc. Service is great.
Closest Thing to Fifth Avenue. I really like this establishment. It has phenomenal clothing and a great atmosphere. You feel like you are shopping in NYC at some of their nice boutiques. It's a little pricey, but well worth the cost.
Evening Wear Mecca. Beanie and Cecil is one of the best places to go for evening wear. They carry a variety of designers (lots of Nicole Miller). The dresses come in lots of different cuts and colors - everyone can find something here. They also have lots of clothing suited for work and the professional set. As for the salespeople, I have encountered both friendly and unfriendly. More consistent service would be nice...
