Mixed Reviews Proved Me Wrong. I was looking for a prom dress and there are many stores but they don't have the right prices. I was looking for a dress under $100 dollars, I thought it was impossible...A Bridal World proved me wrong.

I had looked at reviews about it and had seen how mixed they were, I was worried it was going to be a bad experience so I dismissed it the first time. Just yesterday my mom brought up A Bridal World and she told me that we didn't have to make an appointment up until a certain time, that walk-ins were welcome until 3:00 something.

So I went. A lady explained to me that we could only pick three dresses at a time and to flip them out on the rack so she would know. They had a sale and I was happy with the prices I saw.

When I had picked my three dresses, my mom had to sign a paper and I had to sanitize my hands with a wipe. Neither of which bothered me.

The lady that worked with me was nice and she was blunt, like a lot of southern people. I didn't mind that either.

I found the perfect dress for me yesterday and I would say that this is a great place to find a unique dress for a good price. My dress was 40% off. :)

I got my dress for $94 and some odd cents. I'm happy with my purchase and the service given.

A difficult place to do business with. First off, let me say that I have been to 6 different places to try on wedding gowns so this review is based on an experienced bride-to-be. My visit to A Bridal World was about a month ago, I didn't complain at the time because at that point, this was only my second place that I had tried on gowns at so I wan't sure if my my thoughts were justified. But now I am sure that I would not recommend this shop to ANY bride-to-be.

Problem #1-it's a combined store with a consignment shop so you do not get undivided attention, you get to "share" the help with anyone/anybody that comes into the store. Problem #2-before you can try on anything you have to register (which isn't a bad thing) but you also have to sign a waiver to not take photos. WHAT?? Every other place I went allowed and encouraged photos. Problem #3-you had to sanitize your hands. WHAT again?!? Problem #4-Following the sanitation, you are sqeezed into a plywood box of a dressing room with a sheet style curtain that faces the front doors. So...when the help is passing you your dress, you are on display for all to see (this isn't a huge deal for me because I am not that modest but for some this could be a problem). Problem #5- my next frustration arose when I had to wait in between dresses for the lady to re-pack the dress back into it's plastic bag BEFORE she would even entertain the idea of giving me another dress. OK...whose time are we wasting here? Problem #6-once you get your dress on...you are taken to the back of the store to stand on your podium to view your beautiful self in an amazing dress. BUT you cannot relax because all of your belongings (i.e. purse) are right up front in the path of all consumers (e.g. poor design). I left there feeling very frustrated.

Now let's bring ourselves to today's date. I called the store because I found a dress online that I liked, it is made by a certain designer and the designers website indicated that A Bridal World carried thier dresses. So I call, with a style number. Again to be frustrated!! The girl who answered said that "they could not tell me if they had the dress because thier inventory number may be different than the style # found online. That they have "private label" dresses that cannot be found online". OK, i understand that, but what about the designer dress that I want to know if you have and what it retails for at your store. The girl..."Well, our inventory #'s are different than the style numbers found online for that designer so you can describe the dress to me and I can check...". Really??!? How efficient is that?? How can you sell a designer dress to someone if you don't know or cannot answer if you have it or where you can find it in your system??

Needless to say, I am not sure why they have the methods that they do or the inventory organization that they choose but I can say that my experiences with this store have been frustrating and challenging and I will let every bride-to-be that crosses my path just that. I DO NOT recommend this store!

Great Place!!!. This bridal world experience was amazing! The staff was very friendly and professional. They treated my daughter like a bride but it was her Senior PROM! We had shopped around for prom dresses and found nothing! I went online looking for Bridal shops that sold prom dresses and found this place. My daughter enjoyed her visit at A Bridal World and was able to find an amazing dress. She was so ecstatic.

I would recommend this store; they will take good care of you!! The dresses are quality and prices are affordable. More than anything, the hospitality shown while you’re there is so priceless. My experience there was Great!!

Horrible. I made an appointment over a week before my visit, but when I arrived I had to wait over 10 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. Then they seemed surprised that I had an appointment and told me they were over booked. At first they didn't have a dressing room and the girl helping me was too busy to be any help at all. I tried on a dress I was actually interested in, but could barley get to a mirror to look at it. While I was looking for another dress the girl came and told me my time was almost up and the next appointment was there. Are you kidding me?! I only tried on two dresses and had to wait around for them my entire visit. She told me I should come back during the week. Isn't that what an appointment is for? This place was a joke. They do have cheap dresses. So, there is that I guess. Good luck.
