Great Italian Food. By far the best Italian restaurant I have visited. I used to live in St. Louis where "The Hill" is known for great Italian food and this place would have no problem competing with thier best. Would highly recommend!

The Triangle's BEST.ITALIAN.FOOD!. This place is remarkable. In my opinion, it competes with the best Italian restaurants anywhere (better than Michael's in Apex). If you want true, down home Italian meals, then this is the place to eat. The service is impeccable, the food is almost all made from scratch in-house, and the dessert oh-my-god! Some of the best Tiramisu you will ever taste. I went to Casalinga for lunch one day, and on the lunch buffet were fresh made, piping hot dishes, even included pizza! I'm talking meatballs, chicken parm, chicken scalipini, pastas, cold pastas...all made from scratch! After that lunch, I've been going there ever since. I even held a corporate lunch function there that went off with a bang. The friendly staff took care of my clients like they were their own. I would definitely recommend this place for all meals, from lunch to dinner, for corporate functions, to wedding rehearsal dinners, this place is great. I also just found out that they started doing wine and dinner tastings on Wednesday nights! Something I most definitely will have to check out in the near future. If you enjoy Italian food the way it was intended to be made, then this is Raleigh's only option!

Excellent. In regards to previous post....I had quite the opposite happen. I had several bad experiences just like that when the old owner was there. He was always yelling at someone and blamed his cook when my meal came out wrong instead of trying to make it right. He didn't even offer an app or anything. I thought he was some big deal chef and that HE was the cook. That's what he had told us before. Not sure but I just went back a month or so ago and it was a really pleasant experience. The meal and desserts were awesome - we were given complimentary tiramisu. The person that created the recipes is actually in charge again. I'm very pleased the other dude isn't there anymore.

OMG!!!!! The best food ive ever had!!!. I went to casalinga for the first time this past weekend and it was phenomenal!!!!! First, the owner Josephine greeted and sat us in a beautiful back room with an amazing marble topped bar in the entry way and gorgeous decor in the private dining room. Second, our server Blake had an amazing smile and knowledge of wine, the entire menu, and history of the restaurant, not to mention unbelievable treatment. It was my families first time there and we felt like we were part of the casalinga family! Can't wait to go back!!!!

Amazing food and service!!!!. I finally made it back to casalinga for the lunch buffet after a couple years in culinary school and it's better then ever! The food was fantastic! Mussels marinara, spaghetti carbonarra, penne ala vodka, eggplant parm, chicken casalinga, pizza, Stromboli, salad bar you name it... They got it!!!! And the best thing ever... My girlfriend went to the bathroom and I didn't have to watch the owner obviously check her out and make crude gestures!!!!!( aka last experience with "don" Carlo. Which I found through my new culinary connections that he never attended culinary school and the menu is from Josephines family recipes. Thank god the real owner is back and the same chefs Eric and Victor are still rocking out like the past 8 years!!!! Still the best Italian food in Raleigh!!!!!!!!

Really Good Food!!. I love Casalinga! The food is amazing, the atmosphere is sophisticated, the staff are friendly and professional. I have never had a bad dining experience at Casalinga. Josephine is warm and attempts to greet every customer who comes in. I love when she adds her old family recipes to the daily menu....so good!! Live music on occasion is a nice touch and adds to the overall dining experience as well. If you want good authentic Italian food, go to Casalinga, you will not regret it.

Casalinga is back from the dead. It is amazing every single time I go in. Don't go in expecting to run right out. This is a place where you are going to want to take your time. Savor the great cooking. I recently was there for a Christmas party for my office. Everyone was so happy. It was a first for all of them and they all, 14, plan on returning. DON"T take my word for it, go in. Josephine is wonderful and will make you feel like you are part of the family. I know I feel that way each and every time I return. Going back again tonight to see Santa.

What's Happened to Casalinga?. Visited Casalinga last Saturday evening. Was most dissapointed! First was placed with my wife & son in the back room with two tables of 12, Plus with screaming children. Then ordered clams Oraganato. The bread crumbs were burned, clams dried out. Then the entre of Blue Crab ravioli came and the sauce tasted like it was out of a Food Lion Jar! What has happened to the great food I used to enjoy. The place seemed more like a toomb rather than the old Casalinga. Will not return.

Best Italian in the Triangle!. Carlo – thank-you very much for the attention you showed our group recently. The food was delicious and the family style you prepared was over the top! You run a great restaurant. We always refer people to your restaurant and they all love it! Thank-you again for the hospitality!

Phenomenol choice. This really is one of the best kept secrets anywhere. I have driven past the shopping center where Casalina is and never knew that it was there. I have even eaten at another place in the same shopping center. The food is extraordinary and the service is great. This is a place you definitely need to check out. Everything on the menu looks great and it's hard to make a decision. When you go you definitely have to try the Tiramisu.
