Fair Experience. Well, well I have read the other reviews and that is just the way that Mordeci is. Don't expext to be pampered like you were 20 years ago (anywhere). They are there to get your money only. Retail has really gone down hill. I went there 2 years ago and they were threatening to close the doors. Talking about stressing me out, so I found a seamstress elsewhere because they were planning to close the doors before my wedding date. I loved my dress, it was great for as Hawaii beach wedding. If you want a one of a kind wedding dress go there and get your dream dress and leave. If you want to be pampered there take your mother and she can fill in for the pamper part. But otherwise order your dress off the internet then you can complain about the computer.

Do not recommend. When I purchased my dress, I was told by the sales lady that since my dress was over a certain amount, I would get a FREE dress description. Then, a few weeks later, she advised me that this paticular dress did not apply after all, to the free dress description. I told her they should still honor the offer, since they initially promised me a FDD, and she totally agreed, but said there was nothing she could do.

So, I had to pay $10.00 for a dress description. It's not the price that matters, it's the principal of the thing!

I do not recommend them!

Don't trust a first impression. I had written a review about this shop a few months ago, giving a glowing review. Since that time, I have had nothing but problems, and serious ones at that. My bridesmaids paid for their dresses in October. When I went in for my first fitting in March, I inquired as to why they hadn't come in yet. I was told the company had a lot of orders and they would be in soon. Not a week later, I found out THEY NEVER EVEN ORDERED THEM. They won't be in until June, a mere month before my wedding. They pulled the same stunt with my veil material. I was so angry that I called them to rescue my gown from their custody. When I arrived, they had not steamed it as promised. This shop gives a good first impression, but that's it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

FAB-U-LOUS. Eventhough the reviews on here almost made us cancel our appointment, we went ahead and thought we would see for ourselves and we are GLAD we did not cancel. The Mordecai staff was very friendly. We had a consultant who was very interested in what the bride wanted and liked. She assisted in the narrowing down process of styles and gowns. If I can say anything, it would be not to judge it completely by this site...take an hour and check it out for yourself...you will not be disappointed.

Super service. What a great staff they have at Mordecai. It made buying my wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses a pleasure. One stop shopping with professional service. I liked their "if we don't have we will get it for you attitude"

Disappointing Experience. The bride selected this shop becuase they carried the line of dresses she liked. The staff had little interest in helping us select a dress. When we ordered the dresses, two of us were pressured to buy larger dresses, which we later discovered came with an extra charge. I am now having that dress taken apart and remade so it can be worn for the wedding in less than a month (somewhere else ). I will pay half of what the dress is worth so I can wear it. When I asked them about the possibility of reordering they were very rude and said it was my decision on which size to order. I know when I get married in a couple of years, I will not set foot in Mordecai. I recommend you don't either.

Look Elsewhere. I went here to try on bridal gowns...cheap, poorly made. I got my bridesmaids gowns here because they carried the style I wanted. No one assisted one of my bridesmaids with her size selection except to instruct her to order the larger of the two sizes, and they gouged her for alterations to fix their poor guidance. They also demanded payment for alterations prior to their completion which is the sign of a store that lacks confidence in their own customer service and staff ability. If you need to get a bridesmaid gown here, get the alterations done elsewhere...it will be cheaper for everyone. My best advice...just go elsewhere.

Incompetent. That is the worst experience in a bridal shop that I have ever experienced. I went in this weekend to order all of the bridesmaid gowns for my sister and pay the deposits. However, when I arrived I discovered that they had lost all of the information regarding the gowns (measurements, style, color, etc.). They were unable to locate the information and were unsure what the style number was for the gown (they no longer had one in the store). They were very rude and unsympathetic to the problems that they had caused. The lost the $800 that I had planned to spend there and I went to another bridal store. I would never recommend this bridal store to anyone.
