Today I was at Capital ford for 2 hours and left when we were off by a few dollars a month on a new 2011 vehicle that was still on the lot. I was fine with not getting this vehicle, as I do not need a car but kind of wanted one. A few hours later I get a call from my sales person saying, "Great news if you come back here we can make the deal happen with the terms we talked about earlier." So I drive back to the dealer to sit and wait for another hour and half before getting back to finance. Once I got back to Finance dept I noticed they added 1 more year to the length of the financing which was not what we talked about earlier. There was never a mention of this and I think just expected me to sign it. I told the finance guy this isn't what the sales person told me on the phone, and they just wasted my time. The Finance guy didn't have an answer for me and was not helpful in getting the situation resolved. I said they were unprofessional and this was terrible customer service. The sales person told a lie to get me back in the store and just waste my time. They just said sorry and couldn't do anything else for me. So I left and will be sure to tell everyone I know about my experience with capital ford. If they wish to make it right and agree to the terms they called me back saying we had, I will update this post. Otherwise do not waste your time with this dealer and be sure to pay close attention so they don't try to pull a fast one on you.. I am sure Cross Roads Ford down the street will be happy to get my business.
Spent 3 days haggling with this dealer. Was sent home the first night with the car due to finance department being slow. Dealer kept disapearing and I had to keep asking for him through receptionist and management. Came back next day and said I needed more money down and I said no. I walked away and was called back 2 days later saying Ford had released a $1000 rebate on the car so I came back for the same model and that one was sold. I drove another like model but something was wrong with it and had damage. I settled on another color same model. Waited another 3 hours only be told the rebate wasnt for that model. I felt very uncomfortable there and the lack of knowledge of the salespeople and managment, I will not return.
Really an awful place filled with lying
condescending employees who have never even heard the word customer service.
The owner has created a culture that rewards cheating customers and avoiding responsibility. He is so money hungry that he employes untrained people who are truly clueless.
Ford has great cars but never ever deal with these idiots.
This is just another reason why I don't buy a Ford car..
I have stopped buying Ford cars a long time ago. One reason is the customer service you receive when you have to have your car repaired.
Recently I walked into Capital Ford to have my husband's battery replaced because the one they gave him was no good after 4 months. Once I walked in there are about 4-5 desks and each desk had an employee behind the desk. Three employees say me come in and stand there waiting on someone to greet me. They looked up at me and went back to work. No hello, no what can I do for you. So I walked up to two men that were in a conversation and had to wait til they were finished with a "non work" conversation, just for them to acknowledge me. So I got the battery replaced and then the salesman try to get me to pay for the battery when it was under warranty.
Today my husband went back to Ford to have service done and he said when he was complaining to a salesman, he didn't even bother to look my husband in the eye as he was speaking to him. To me, that's very disrespectfull. So my husband had to tell him to look at him when he's speaking to him.
When my husband's truck get paid off...WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER FORD CAR. I wouldn't have a Ford car/truck even if it was given to me. I will make sure my husband NEVER goes back to that Ford establishment again.
Capiatl Service - very mixed place.
I have been a cuatomer for about 8 years. I have usually been impressed by how well they handle customers. In the past I felt like I got honest advice.
The last two times I have been here in 2008 & 2009, I did not leave with the same confidence.
In 2008 they had trouble figuing out my problem, so they rented me a car at their expense, then they forgot an issue & rented the car again. So there were problems, but they did their best to make things right.
In 2009 I got a morning appointment for service they had recommend I just stop in & wait for 2 .5 hrs for them to do. When they took my appointment, they acted like they didn't want to bother with an appointment for routine service. So the day before, at 4pm I dropped off my car, so they could start that night or early the next day. Did I mention I had a morning appointment.... So at 2:00 they call me with upsale recommendations which I would appreciate if they were individualized, but this was more like.... you asked for the special, but we never recommend the special. Hey, look at the car, then decide what is needed! So I returned my rental car to budget the next day at 4:00 & they delivered me to Ford at 4:30, a little wait may not be that bad. At 6:00 they finished. I'm glad I didn't drive in w/o my appointment. Not a happy camper... find yourself a good garage.
